Amen. What a beautiful and powerful prayer. It takes the tiny, fragile gift of our faith and asks God to grow it into something strong, lasting, and majestic. Here is a poem for that request.

From a Mustard Seed
Take this, my small and trembling faith, This whispered prayer, this fragile grace. This mustard seed,so slight, so weak, The humble trust I barely speak. “He replied, ‘Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.’”(Matthew 17:20)
Plant it, Lord, in soil of grace, In the quiet of Your holy place. Water it with patient hope, Give me the strength and light to cope.
Grow it deep through trial and wind, ’Til on Your truth it can depend. Grow it wide with loving shade, Where the weary and afraid Might find a place to rest and see Your strength grown in a tree like me.
Turn this small faith to an oak, A testament to every spoke Of Your design,a sturdy sight, That stands through darkest day and night. “The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God.”(Psalm 92:12-13)
Not for my glory, but for Yours, A life that utterly adores The Gardener who took the time To turn my little seed sublime.
Grow my faith, Lord. Let it be An oak of righteousness for Thee.
Amen.
