Where the Spirit Is

Where the Spirit of the Lord is,

There is freedom—not just a phrase,

But chains that fall, walls that crumble,

And darkness chased by blazing rays.

No more bondage, no more prison,

No more fear that grips the soul.

For the Spirit breathes and life awakens,

And makes the wounded spirit whole.

Where the Spirit of the Lord is,

There is freedom from the past.

The guilt is gone, the shame is lifted,

The heavy stone is rolled at last.

Freedom to worship, freedom to love,

Freedom to stand and walk in grace.

Not a license, but a calling—

To run with joy and seek His face.

So come, O Spirit, fill this place,

Break every chain, remove the veil.

Let every captive, every weary soul,

Find liberty that will not fail.

Scripture for Freedom in the Spirit

Where the Spirit of the Lord Is, There Is Freedom:

"Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." (2 Corinthians 3:17)

It Is for Freedom That Christ Has Set Us Free:

"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery." (Galatians 5:1)

The Truth Will Set You Free:

"Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." (John 8:32)

If the Son Sets You Free, You Are Free Indeed:

A Prayer for Freedom

Holy Spirit,

Come and fill this place.

Where You are, fear cannot stay.

Where You are, chains cannot hold.

Where You are, freedom reigns.

Break every yoke of addiction,

every prison of shame,

every lie that keeps me bound.

Let me walk in the freedom

that Christ purchased for me on the cross.

Not freedom to sin,

but freedom to become who I truly am—

a child of God.

I receive Your Spirit anew today.

Lead me in the way of liberty,

and let my life declare:

Where the Spirit of the Lord is,
