Thank You for Your Grace
A Reflection on Ephesians 2:8-9 and 2 Corinthians 12:9
Thank You for Your grace—the gift I did not earn,
The favor freely given, the lesson I still learn.
Not by my works, not by my striving or my creed,
But by Your mercy, planted like a seed.
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God. (Ephesians 2:8)
Grace—the breath I breathe when I have failed again,
The hand that lifts me up and calls me friend.
It does not keep a record of my wrongs,
But covers me with mercy’s endless songs.
Thank You for the grace that meets me in the mess,
That turns my shame into a robe of righteousness.
When I am weak, then I am strong,
Because Your grace has been my song all along.
“My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)
So I receive this gift—not with pride, but with a humble heart.
Your grace has set me apart.
Thank You for Your grace—today, tomorrow, always.
It carries me through all my days.
Amen.
