There is no one like you.

There Is No One Like You

A Reflection on Psalm 86:8, Isaiah 40:25, and Jeremiah 10:6

There is no one like You—search the heavens, scan the earth,

From the silence of the ages to the moment of my birth.

No rival to Your glory, no echo of Your grace,

No shadow of a rival in any time or place.

Among the gods there is none like You, Lord; no deeds can compare with Yours. (Psalm 86:8)

No one like You in power—the stars obey Your hand,

The oceans pause at Your command, the mountains melt like sand.

Yet this same power bends to heal a broken heart,

And holds the grieving, weary soul, never to depart.

No one like You in mercy—slow to anger, rich in love,

You lift the fallen, send the rain on just and unjust from above.

You do not treat me as my sins deserve,

But wrap me in a second chance, new every morn, preserved.

“To whom will you compare Me? Or who is My equal?” says the Holy One. (Isaiah 40:25)

So I stand in awe of You—not with trembling fear,

But with the wonder of a child who knows that You are near.

There is no one like You—my song, my shield, my stay,

Through all my nights, through all my days, forever and a day.

No one is like You, Lord; You are great, and Your name is mighty in power. (Jeremiah 10:6)

Amen.
