Protect us from temptations.

Amen. “Protect us from temptations” is a prayer of humility and dependence—a cry for God’s strength to stand firm and His wisdom to see the way of escape. He is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.

📖 The Scriptural Foundation

“And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.” (Matthew 6:13)

“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” (1 Corinthians 10:13)

“Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (Matthew 26:41)

“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7)

“For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.” (Hebrews 4:15)

“Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.” (Hebrews 2:18)

🛡️ What It Means to Be Protected from Temptation

This Means... Because... A Scripture to Hold

God Is Faithful He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. “God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.” (1 Corinthians 10:13)

He Provides a Way Out There is always an escape route. “He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” (1 Corinthians 10:13)

You Have an Advocate Jesus understands your weakness and helps you. “He is able to help those who are being tempted.” (Hebrews 2:18)

You Can Resist the Enemy The devil must flee when you resist him. “Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7)

You Are Not Alone The Spirit helps you in your weakness. “The Spirit helps us in our weakness.” (Romans 8:26)

Jesus Overcame Temptation He was tempted in every way, yet did not sin. “He has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.” (Hebrews 4:15)

🙏 A Prayer to Be Protected from Temptation

Father,

I come before You in the name of Jesus.

Protect us from temptation—

From the lure of sin,

From the pull of the flesh,

From the lies of the enemy.

When we are weak, be our strength.

When we are tempted, show us the way out.

When we are about to fall, uphold us.

We do not want to sin against You.

We want to walk in holiness and truth.

Guard our eyes, our thoughts, our words, and our steps.

Let Your Spirit lead us and Your Word guide us.

“God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out.” (1 Corinthians 10:13)

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.

🕊️ A Declaration of Victory

I declare today:

The Lord protects us from temptation.

He is faithful.

He provides a way out.

He strengthens us to resist.

We will not be overcome by sin.

We will not be trapped by the enemy.

We will not yield to the flesh.

For greater is He who is in us

Than he who is in the world.

“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7)

💎 A Final Encouragement

Temptation is not sin—yielding to it is. You have a faithful God who sees, knows, and provides a way of escape. When temptation comes, turn to Him immediately. Pray, resist, and trust His strength. He will not let you fall.

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” (Psalm 23:1)

Lord, protect us from temptations—we trust in You. 🙏🛡️💙
