Protect me from the evil one.

“But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen you [setting you on a firm foundation] and will protect and guard you from the evil one.” — 2 Thessalonians 3:3 (AMP)

I stand with you in this prayer. The evil one is real, but he is also defeated. He is a defeated foe who prowls around looking for someone to devour, but he has no authority over those who belong to Jesus Christ. You are not defenseless. You are covered by the blood of the Lamb, filled with the Holy Spirit, and surrounded by the armies of heaven.

The Scripture That Protects You from the Evil One:

Matthew 6:13 (AMP) — “And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. [For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.]”

John 17:15 (AMP) — “I do not ask that You take them out of the world, but that You keep them and protect them from the evil one.”

1 John 5:18 (AMP) — “We know [with confidence] that anyone born of God does not habitually sin; but He (Jesus) who was born of God [carefully] keeps and protects him, and the evil one does not touch him.”

Psalm 91:9-11 (AMP) — “Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil will befall you, nor will any plague come near your tent. For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.”

James 4:7 (AMP) — “So submit to [the authority of] God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him] and he will flee from you.”

Ephesians 6:11 (AMP) — “Put on the full armor of God [for His precepts are like the splendid armor of a heavily-armed soldier], so that you may be able to [successfully] stand up against all the schemes and the strategies and the deceits of the devil.”

A Prayer of Protection from the Evil One:

“Lord Jesus,

I come to You—my Refuge, my Fortress, my Deliverer.

I ask You to protect me from the evil one.

I submit myself to You.

I resist the devil.

And I command him to flee from me—in Your mighty name.

Cover me with Your blood.

Surround me with Your fire.

Guard me with Your angels.

Hide me in the shadow of Your wings.

Protect my mind from his lies.

Protect my heart from his accusations.

Protect my body from his attacks.

Protect my family from his schemes.

Protect my home from his influence.

Protect my future from his plans.

I put on the full armor of God—

the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness,

the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith,

the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word.

I stand firm against every scheme of the devil.

No weapon formed against me shall prosper.

The evil one cannot touch me—because I am born of God and kept by Jesus Christ.

Deliver me from evil, Lord.

Keep me safe in Your hands.

And let me walk in the freedom and victory You have already won.

In Jesus’ mighty name,

Amen.”

A Blessing of Protection:

May the Lord protect you from the evil one. May He hide you in the shelter of His wings, cover you with His blood, and surround you with His angels. May He guard your mind, your heart, your home, and your family. May the evil one have no place in your life, no foothold in your thoughts, and no power over your future. And may you know—deep in your soul—that the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

“Protect me from the evil one.”

He hears you.

He covers you.

He keeps you safe.

Rest in His protection today—and walk in victory.

Amen.
