Protect me in this fallen world.

 Amen. This is the prayer that acknowledges the brokenness of this world while clinging to the One who has overcome it.

Protect me in this fallen world—

not by removing me from it, but by keeping me safe within it.

Not by hiding me from battle, but by giving me victory in it.

Shield my mind from lies.

Shield my heart from bitterness.

Shield my family from division.

Shield my steps from destruction.

Let me walk through this world as light in the darkness,

as salt on the earth,

as a child of the King.

I am not of this world—

Protect me in this fallen world. He is with you. He is for you. He will bring you safely home.
