Amen. This is a tender and trusting prayer, recognizing that God's guidance is not a cold command, but a loving, personal leading. It speaks of a desire for both His direction and His intimate presence on the journey.
Here is a prayerful poem in response.
---
Guide Me With Your Loving Arms
Not with a map of rigid lines,
Or a list of distant, harsh designs.
Not with a push or a stern command,
From a detached,unmoving hand.
But guide me with Your loving arms,
Enfolded safe from all that harms.
Let Your embrace be my true north,
To lead my spirit forward.
When the path is steep and I grow weak,
Let me feel the strength I seek
In the circle of Your care,
Lifting me from my despair.
When I stand at crossroads, unclear,
Whisper wisdom in my ear.
Pull me close,so I can hear
Your heartbeat,settling every fear.
Should I stumble, should I fall,
Hear my desperate,pleading call.
And in Your arms, restore my soul,
And make my wounded spirit whole.
For Your love is the only compass I need,
A faithful star,a planted seed.
It does not simply point the way,
Itis the path, the truth, the day.
So I will not ask to see ahead,
Or on my own strength to be fed.
I'll lean into Your gentle grace,
And rest in love's divine embrace.
Guide me with Your loving arms,
Through life's alarms and fleeting charms.
From this day forth,my constant plea,
Is to be held and led by Thee.
