This simple, powerful phrase speaks of a lifetime of commitment, trust, and the faithful presence of God. It is a vow, a prayer, and a declaration of faith all in one.
Here is a meditation on the faithfulness of God through all the days of our lives.
---
All the Days of My Life
From the first breath that I drew,
My future was already known to You.
The toddler’s step,the youth’s bright fire,
The building of each dream and spire.
Through days of strength, and days of ease,
Through whispers carried on the breeze,
Through triumphs where my joy ran deep,
And promises I swore to keep.
And through the days I’d rather forget,
The seasons of my deep regret,
The painful growth,the lonely nights,
The faded,weary, distant lights.
In every one, You were the same,
You whispered Your unchanging name.
You were the thread of grace and love,
Woven from Your throne above.
“Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.”(Psalm 23:6)
So for the days that are to come,
Until my earthly race is run,
I make this prayer,my spirit’s plea:
Be with me.
In the coming dawn’s uncertain light,
In the battles I must fight,
In the quiet,in the noise,
In sorrows,and in simple joys.
Be my guide, my constant friend,
On whom I can always depend.
Be my comfort,be my stay,
Every moment, every day.
And when my final evening falls,
And Your great name my spirit calls,
Receive me then, and take my hand,
To the eternal,promised land.
For all the days were Yours alone,
From first to last, from seed full-grown.
All the days of my life.
And forever after.

A Prayer for All Our Days:
"Heavenly Father,
I entrust to You all the days of my life—the ones behind me, the one I am in today, and all those that are to come.
I thank You for Your faithfulness in my past. You have been my guide, my provider, and my redeemer. Forgive me for the days I walked alone.
I surrender to You my present. This day, with all its tasks, challenges, and opportunities, is Yours. Lead me, fill me, and use me.
I place into Your hands my future. I do not know what it holds, but I know You hold me. I trust Your goodness and unfailing love to follow me all the days of my life, until I finally dwell in Your house forever.
My life is in Your hands. From this day forward, and forever.
In the name of Jesus, Amen."
