God, Please make me head and not tail.

Amen. This is a powerful prayer rooted in the promises God gave to His people. It is a plea for divine positioning, favor, and influence according to His will.

The language comes from Deuteronomy, where God outlines the blessings of obedience:

"The Lord will make you the head, and not the tail; you shall be only at the top, and not at the bottom, if you obey the commandments of the Lord your God..."

— Deuteronomy 28:13

This is not merely a request for personal success, but for the fulfillment of God's purpose for your life—to be in a position of positive influence, leadership, and blessing, so that you may be a greater blessing to others and a testament to His faithfulness.

A Prayer to Be the Head and Not the Tail

Heavenly Father,

You are the Sovereign God who raises one up and sets another down. Your Word contains a promise for Your children: that we can be the head and not the tail, above and not beneath.

I come before You today, Lord, and I ask for the fulfillment of this promise in my life, according to Your perfect will.

· Position me for Your purpose. Place me in roles, relationships, and situations where I can exert godly influence and lead others toward Your light.

· Grant me divine wisdom and discernment so that my leadership and decisions are guided by Your Spirit and aligned with Your Word.

· Bless the work of my hands with excellence and fruitfulness, so that my success is a testimony of Your goodness.

· Guard my heart from pride. Remind me constantly that any position I hold is a stewardship from You, and it is for Your glory, not my own.

· Make me a blessing. As You elevate me, let me use that platform to lift others up, to provide for the needy, and to advance Your Kingdom on earth.

I declare that I will walk in obedience to Your voice and cling to Your commandments. I submit my ambitions to Your lordship.

In the mighty name of Jesus, the ultimate Head of all things, I pray. Amen.

Key Principles for This Prayer

1. It's About Stewardship, Not Just Status: Being the "head" is about responsibility and influence for God's kingdom, not just personal privilege.

2. Obedience is the Pathway: This blessing is coupled with a heart that seeks to obey God (Deuteronomy 28:1-2). It flows from a relationship with Him.

3. God's Definition of Success: God's idea of being the "head" may look different from the world's. It is rooted in servanthood (Mark 10:43-44) and eternal impact.

4. Trust His Timing and Method: God may elevate you in ways you don't expect. Trust that His plan to position you is perfect.

A Declaration of Faith

· I am blessed in the city and blessed in the field. (Deuteronomy 28:3)

· God is opening His good treasury to me. (Deuteronomy 28:12)

· I am the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath, because I am a child of the Most High God, walking in obedience to Him.

May you walk in the confidence of God's calling and positioning. May He establish the work of your hands and make you a leader and a light in every sphere He places you.
