Lord Jesus come for sinners into repentance.

This is a profound and comforting truth that lies at the very heart of the Gospel. It reveals the mission of Jesus—not to condemn the world, but to save it, by calling sinners to turn back to God.

Here is a reflection on this beautiful promise.

He Came for Sinners

The Pharisees and teachers of the law,

Stood at a distance, filled with awe

Of their own piety and pride,

While sinners, shamed, would run and hide.

But Jesus walked a different way,

He was the dawn of a new day.

He sat with tax men, touched the sick,

His love was gentle, strong, and quick.

He did not come for those so sure,

For those who thought their hearts were pure.

He came with heaven's kind intent,

A rescue mission,heaven-sent.

“It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.

I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”(Luke 5:31-32)

God comes for sinners unto repentance.

This is the hope for you and me,

The key that sets the captive free.

He does not wait for us to clean our slate,

To fix our mess,to change our fate.

He comes to us in all our shame,

And calls us by our very name.

The call to "repent" is not a threat,

It's grace that pays our deepest debt.

It is the turn from death to life,

From endless,weary, internal strife.

So if you feel the weight of sin,

And know the mess your heart is in,

Do not despair and do not flee—

This is the very place to be.

For in that humble, broken state,

Is where you find the open gate.

The Savior's call is for the lost,

He paid the ultimate,final cost.

God comes for sinners unto repentance.

Come now,and answer His loving call.

Find forgiveness, and new life, in Him.

A Prayer of Response:

"Lord Jesus, thank you. Thank you that You came for sinners like me. I confess my sin and my need for You. I have tried to make my own way, and I have failed.

I hear Your call to repentance today. I turn away from my sin and I turn to You. I receive Your forgiveness, purchased by Your blood on the cross. I believe that You died for me and rose again.

Thank you for coming for me. Thank you for not leaving me lost. I receive Your gift of new life today.

In Your name, Amen."
