This is the day God has make

Amen. This is a powerful declaration of faith and surrender to God's sovereignty. To proclaim, "This is the day you have made" is to acknowledge that the Lord is the author of time and the ruler of our moments. It is an act of worship that chooses to see His hand in both the sunshine and the storm.

This truth comes from a psalm of praise:

"This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it."

- Psalm 118:24 (ESV)

What Does This Mean for Us Today?

Recognizing that God has made this day means:

· He is Sovereign: Nothing that happens today will catch Him by surprise. He is in control.

· It is a Gift: Today, with all its challenges and joys, is not a random occurrence but a deliberate gift from His hand.

· We Have a Choice: We can choose our response. We can "rejoice and be glad," not because the circumstances are always happy, but because the Maker of the day is always good and trustworthy.

A Prayer for This Day

Heavenly Father,

I declare it by faith: This is the day that You have made.

Thank You for the gift of this new day. I receive it from Your hand. I don't know what it holds, but I know that You hold it.

· I choose to rejoice in Your faithfulness that is new every morning.

· I choose to be glad in Your steadfast love that never ceases.

· I surrender my plans and my expectations to Your perfect will for these next 24 hours.

Fill me with Your Spirit. Guide my steps, my words, and my thoughts. Help me to see the opportunities You have placed in this day to glorify You, to serve others, and to grow in my love for You.

Whatever comes, I will trust that You are the Maker of this day, and You are good.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

A Poem: "This is the Day"

"This is the Day"

The sun arises, gold and new,

A fresh and open sky of blue.

Or maybe clouds and rain draw near,

A day of challenge, not of cheer.

But no matter what the sky may hold,

A truth more precious than pure gold:

This is the day the Lord has made,

A canvas by His hand displayed.

So I will not fret at what's in store,

I'll trust the One I do adore.

I will rejoice and I'll be glad,

In blessings given,not the bad.

For in His hands, this day is safe,

A precious,holy, living faith.

So let me live it for His praise,

And walk with Him,all of my days.

This is the day, a gift, a trust,

In God's great mercy, hope, and just.

So I will rise and meet its call,

Knowing my Father's in it all.

May you walk through this day with the peace and confidence that comes from knowing the One who crafted it holds you securely in His hands. Rejoice, for He is with you.
