Worthy of All Honor

Honor the Lord, all the earth,

Let every voice declare His worth.

From rising sun to its setting,

Let endless praise be ever fetching.

Honor the Lord with your wealth,

With your very life and health.

Not just with words upon your tongue,

But in the way your days are sung.

Honor the Lord with your time,

Let your life be a living rhyme.

That tells of mercy, speaks of grace,

And points the weary to His face.

Honor the Lord in the storm,

When His ways are not the norm.

Trust His heart when you can't see,

For His plans are best for thee.

Honor the Lord with your gifts,

The blessings that your spirit lifts.

For every good thing comes from Him,

The Father of lights, never dim.

Honor the Lord with your all,

Standing upright lest you fall.

For He who calls you is faithful and true,

And worthy of all honor from you.

Scripture for Honoring the Lord

Honor Him with Your Wealth:

"Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine." (Proverbs 3:9-10)

Ascribe to the Lord:

"Ascribe to the Lord, you heavenly beings, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength. Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness." (Psalm 29:1-2)

Those Who Honor Me:

"Those who honor me I will honor, but those who despise me will be disdained." (1 Samuel 2:30)

Worthy Are You, Our Lord:

"Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created." (Revelation 4:11)

Honor Your Father and Mother:

"Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you." (Exodus 20:12) — for honoring begins in the home.

With My Mouth:

"The Lord says: 'These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.'" (Isaiah 29:13)

Give Him the Glory:

"Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness." (Psalm 96:8, KJV)

Honor the Son:

"that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him." (John 5:23)

In Everything Give Thanks:

"Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." (1 Thessalonians 5:18) — giving thanks honors Him.

Honor One Another:

"Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves." (Romans 12:10) — for in honoring His children, we honor Him.

The Fear of the Lord:

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." (Proverbs 9:10) — to honor Him is to revere Him.
