Love me Lord.

Here is a poetic response and a selection of scriptures that echo the cry of your heart, "Love me, Lord."

---

The Cry He Hears

Love me, Lord, when shadows fall,

And doubt creeps in to cloud my day.

Love me, Lord, when I lose my way,

And on Your name I fail to call.

Love me, Lord, not for what I do,

For my best deeds are stained and worn.

Love me, Lord, though my heart is torn,

Just because You love me, true.

Love me, Lord, when I cannot feel,

When prayers feel hollow, silence deep.

Love me, Lord, in my weary sleep,

And let Your presence be my seal.

Love me, Lord, with a love so vast

That calms my fears and makes me whole.

Love me, Lord, and restore my soul,

Until this fleeting life has passed.

Scripture for the Weary Heart

These verses are God's answer to that simple, desperate prayer.

For His Unconditional Love:

"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)

For His Unfailing Love:

"Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed, says the Lord, who has compassion on you." (Isaiah 54:10)

For His Love that Holds You:

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:38-39)

For His Love that Seeks You:

"I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness." (Jeremiah 31:3)

For the Prayer He Always Hears:

"In my distress I called to the Lord; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears." (Psalm 18:6)
