All Things Are Possible Through God Who Loves Us
All things are possible—not through my own strength or might,
Not through striving, struggling, or fighting for the light.
But through the God who loves me, whose heart beats for my own,
Whose power is made perfect when my weakness is made known.
Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." (Matthew 19:26)
Through God who loves us—this is the foundation,
The unshakeable ground of our salvation.
Not a distant force, not a cold decree,
But a Father whose love reaches even me.
I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness. (Jeremiah 31:3)
What things are possible? Let me count the ways:
Forgiveness for the darkest sin, hope for the darkest days.
Healing for the broken heart, peace for the anxious mind,
Freedom for the captive soul, sight for the spiritually blind.
Through God who loves us, the impossible becomes true:
The proud heart humbled, the old made new.
The enemy defeated, the captives released,
The weary find rest, the hungry find feast.
I can do all this through him who gives me strength. (Philippians 4:13)
Through God who loves us, the mountains move aside,
The Red Sea parts, the dead man's grave opens wide.
Barren wombs conceive, barren souls bear fruit,
The tongue of the mute sings praise absolute.
Through God who loves us, we are more than conquerors,
Not by our might, but through Him who suffered for us.
In all these things we overwhelmingly triumph,
Not because we're strong, but because His love is our triumph.
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. (Romans 8:37)
So when I face the impossible, when my strength is gone,
When the mountain looms before me and hope feels withdrawn,
I will remember the God who loves me, who holds me in His hand,
And I will whisper to my soul: "With God, I stand."
For nothing is impossible for the God who loves me so—
The God who spoke the stars to life, the God who made the snow.
The God who sent His only Son to die in my own place,
The God who raised Him from the dead and offers me His grace.
For nothing will be impossible with God. (Luke 1:37)
All things are possible. Not some things, not a few.
Not the easy ones, the simple ones, the ones I can get through.
But all things—the impossible, the hopeless, the unseen,
Because the God who loves me is making all things clean.
This is my confidence. This is my song.
All things are possible—all day long.
Not because of who I am, but because of whose I am:
I am loved by the great I AM.
Amen.
