 Here is a poem of awe and a collection of scriptures celebrating the God who reigns over the highest peaks and the deepest seas.

The God of Every Realm

You are the God of the mountain high,

Where eagles soar and clouds drift by.

Where the air is thin and the view is wide,

And faith is tested, purified.

You are the God of the deep, dark sea,

Where creatures move mysteriously.

Where waves crash hard and currents roll,

Yet still You speak and make them whole.

The mountain speaks of Your majesty,

Unshaken, strong, for all to see.

A fortress high, a refuge sure,

Forever faithful, ever pure.

The sea declares Your boundless power,

Through every storm and raging hour.

It knows its limits, knows its place,

Before the whisper of Your grace.

God of the peak and the ocean floor,

Of every vista, every shore—

I lift my eyes, I bow my knee,

The God of mountain and sea holds me.

When I am high upon the mountain,

Or drowning deep in sorrow's fountain,

You are there. You do not change.

Your love is vast, Your reach is strange.

So let the mountains shake and fall,

Let oceans roar and heed Your call.

My hope is built on nothing less

Than You, O God, in faithfulness.

Scripture for the God of Mountain and Sea

The Creator of All:

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." (Genesis 1:1)

The One Who Walks on Waves:

"Immediately he spoke to them and said, 'Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid.' Then he climbed into the boat with them, and the wind died down." (Mark 6:50-51)

The God of the Mountains:

"I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth." (Psalm 121:1-2)
