We live for you.

 We Live for You


We live for You—not for our own glory,

Not to write our name in some fleeting story.

Not for the praise of mortal tongues,

Not for the prizes this world ever sung.


For none of us lives for ourselves alone, and none of us dies for ourselves alone. If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. (Romans 14:7-8)


We live for You—every breath we take,

Every step we walk, every choice we make.

The morning light that greets our eyes,

The strength to rise, the will to rise—

It's all for You, our God, our King,

To You alone our lives we bring.


We live for You—not to build our kingdom,

Not to chase the fleeting freedom

The world proclaims but cannot give,

The hollow life that cannot live.

But to build what lasts, to seek what's true,

To fix our eyes on none but You.


So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:18)


We live for You—in the ordinary days,

In the simple rhythms, in the quiet ways.

In the work we do, the words we speak,

In loving the strong and lifting the weak.

In every moment, great or small,

We live for You—our all in all.


We live for You—when joy overflows,

When blessings fall and grace still grows.

We live for You—when sorrows press,

When we are weary and distressed.

For whether in plenty or in lack,

We will not let our purpose slack.


I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation... I can do all this through Him who gives me strength. (Philippians 4:12-13)


We live for You—with every gift You've given,

Our talents, our time, our days all leavened

With the yeast of Your love, rising to be

A loaf of blessing for all to see.

Let our lives be bread for hungry souls,

Let Your story through us be told.


We live for You—not just in word,

But in the deeper truth that's heard

When actions speak what tongues proclaim,

When lives give glory to Your name.

Let love be our language, faith our song,

As through this world we move along.


Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. (1 John 3:18)


We live for You—with eternity in view,

Knowing each day is a gift from You.

We have one life to spend for Your praise,

One fleeting breath through numbered days.

So let us spend it wisely, well,

Your glorious story to tell.


We live for You—and when our race is run,

When the last battle is fought and won,

When we see Your face and finally know

The fullness of love that made us whole,

We will hear You say, with delight so true:

"Well done, My child. You lived for Me."


His master replied, "Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!" (Matthew 25:21)


So this is our prayer, our hearts' deep cry:

That until the day we finally die,

Every moment, every breath,

Every victory, every death,

Will all be lived for none but You—

For this is why we live. This is why we're true.


We live for You.

We live for You.

Forever and always,

We live for You.
