Power of His Love.

The Force That Holds the Stars


What power commands the morning light

And sets the boundaries of the sea?

What power hung the moon at night

And painted every leaf on every tree?


It is the power of Your love,

A force that nothing can contain.

It reached from highest heaven above

To pull me from the deepest pain.


Your love can move the mountains tall

And calm the raging of the sea.

Your love can catch me when I fall

And whisper, "You belong to me."


There is no chain that love can't break,

No wound so deep it cannot heal.

No soul so lost it cannot take

And with its endless welcome seal.


The power of Your love has won

The greatest battle ever fought.

It gave to death Your only Son,

And then from death, new life He brought.


So let that love now have its way,

Transform my heart and shape my will.

From night, it brings the brightest day,

And in its quiet, I am still.

Scripture for the Power of His Love


Love That Surpasses Knowledge:


"And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord's holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God." (Ephesians 3:17-19)


Nothing Can Separate Us:


"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:38-39)
