Deliver me from evil

This is a prayer that echoes the very words Jesus taught us to pray: "Deliver us from evil" (Matthew 6:13). It is a plea for spiritual protection and divine covering.

A Prayer for Protection from Evil

Heavenly Father, in the mighty and powerful name of Jesus, I come to You.

I acknowledge that I am in a spiritual battle,and I cannot fight it on my own.

I am vulnerable to the schemes,lies, and attacks of the evil one.

So I humbly ask You: Protect me from evil.

Protect my mind from thoughts that are not from You—from deception, anxiety, condemnation, and impurity.

Guard the gateway to my soul.

"We take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ."(2 Corinthians 10:5)

Protect my heart from becoming hardened, bitter, or led astray by sinful desires.

Keep it soft,pure, and focused on You.

"Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it."(Proverbs 4:23)

Protect my path from the snares and traps set by the enemy.

Direct my steps so that I walk in Your will and not into temptation.

"But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one."(2 Thessalonians 3:3)

Protect my life and my physical being from any form of harm or destruction intended by the evil one.

Be a shield around me,my family, and my home.

"The Lord will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life."(Psalm 121:7)

I put on the full armor of God—the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word. (Ephesians 6:10-17)

I plead the covering blood of Jesus over every part of my life. No weapon formed against me shall prosper.

Thank you, Lord, that You are my refuge and my fortress. I place my trust entirely in You.

Protect me from evil.
