Your Mercy endures forever.

Of course. This is one of the most powerful and recurring declarations in all of Scripture—a truth that anchors our souls in the unchanging, everlasting love of God. His mercy is not a fleeting feeling, but His very character, extended to us for all time.

Here is a poem of praise on this eternal truth.

---

Your Mercy Endures Forever

When I have failed, and fallen low,

And let the seeds of weakness grow,

When I am shamed by my own hand,

And cannot in Your presence stand—

A whisper rises,soft and clear,

Dispelling every single fear:

“Your mercy endures forever.”

When storms of life around me roar,

And I am battered on the shore,

When hope seems like a distant light,

And I am swallowed by the night—

A constant truth,a steady ray,

To guide me through the darkest day:

“Your mercy endures forever.”

When my own strength has reached its end,

And I have no more to defend,

When I am tired, and worn, and frail,

And every human effort fails—

A strength not mine begins to rise,

A promise that will never die:

“Your mercy endures forever.”

From age to age, You are the same,

Your faithful,covenant-keeping name.

The sun may fade, the stars may fall,

But Your great mercy answers all.

It saw the cross,it rolled the stone,

And claims us now as Your own.

“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good.

His love endures forever.”(Psalm 136:1)

So let my life, a grateful breath,

Declare this truth that conquers death.

Through joy and sorrow, peace and strife,

The anthem of my entire life:

Your mercy endures forever.

It was,and is, and is to come.

My soul is safe within this sum.

The Enduring Nature of God's Mercy:

This phrase, repeated 26 times in Psalm 136 alone, is a foundation of our faith.

1. It is Unending: God's mercy (His hesed—lovingkindness, steadfast love) has no expiration date. It is not based on our performance, but on His character (Lamentations 3:22-23).

2. It is Unchanging: While our circumstances and feelings shift like sand, His mercy is a rock. It is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).

3. It is Unmerited: We cannot earn it. It is a gift, flowing from the heart of a good Father who delights in showing compassion (Ephesians 2:4-5).

4. It is our Certainty: Because His mercy endures forever, our salvation, our hope, and our standing with God are eternally secure. Nothing can separate us from this love (Romans 8:38-39).

A Prayer of Thanksgiving:

"Lord God, I am in awe of Your mercy. Thank you that it is not a temporary pardon, but an eternal promise. Thank you that it meets me in my failure, my fear, and my weakness, and it never, ever runs out.

Because Your mercy endures forever, I can face tomorrow without fear. Because Your mercy endures forever, my past is forgiven and my future is secure. Let this truth shape my identity and fuel my worship every single day.

I give You thanks, for You are good, and Your mercy endures forever.

In Jesus' name, Amen."
