Make me Holy as you are Holy.

Of course. This is the deepest and most transformative prayer a human heart can utter. It is a surrender to the very purpose for which we were created and redeemed: to be set apart for God, to be made like Him in holiness.

Here is a prayer and meditation on this sacred request.

---

Make Me Holy

I come to You, not with a list,

Of deeds undone,or wrongs dismissed.

I come with one, most earnest plea,

Born from my deep necessity.

Make me holy.

Not for my glory, not for pride,

But for the purpose You provide.

To be a vessel,set apart,

A mirror of Your sacred heart.

I know the cost. I know it means,

The death of all my selfish scenes.

The breaking of my stubborn will,

My voice learning to be still.

I know it means the Refiner’s fire,

To purge the dross of low desire.

To burn away what cannot stand

Within Your pure and holy hand.

But I am willing. Have Your way,

In all I do and think and say.

“It is God’s will that you should be sanctified…”(1 Thessalonians 4:3)

So come, Lord, with Your cleansing flood,

Wash me in Your precious blood.

The blood of Christ, the spotless Lamb,

That makes the sinner who I am

Stand clean before a holy God,

Though I have strayed,and I have flawed.

“Create in me a pure heart, O God,

and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”(Psalm 51:10)

And come, Lord, with Your Spirit’s power,

To fill me in this very hour.

To teach,to guide, to convict, to seal,

To make Your holiness feel real.

To bear His fruit in my life’s soil,

Through patient,faithful, loving toil.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22-23)**

And come, Lord, with Your living Word,

The sharpest sword that ever stirred.

Let it divide the soul and spirit,

And shape my life until I hear it—

Your voice alone,my one true guide,

With You,and in You, to abide.

This is my prayer, my single cry,

Beneath Your vast,eternal sky.

Make me holy, as You are holy.

For I am Yours, and Yours only.

A Prayer of Consecration:

"Holy Father,

You are light, and in You is no darkness at all. I stand before You in the glorious righteousness of Jesus, yet I long for my daily life to reflect Your holy nature.

I cannot make myself holy. My best efforts are filthy rags. So I come to You, the source of all holiness, and I ask:

· Sanctify me by Your Truth. Your Word is truth. Wash my mind and heart with it. Let it correct me, train me, and shape me.

· Sanctify me by the Blood of Jesus. Continually apply the cleansing power of the cross to my conscience. Remind me that I am forgiven and free to pursue holiness without the weight of condemnation.

· Sanctify me by Your Holy Spirit. Fill me afresh. Empower me to say 'no' to ungodliness and 'yes' to righteousness. Produce Your fruit in me. Convict me quickly of sin.

I surrender every part of my life to this process. I yield my relationships, my thoughts, my desires, my time, and my resources. Make me holy, Lord, in whatever way You see fit.

I trust Your method and Your timing. Do this work in me, for Your glory and for my good.

In the holy name of Jesus, I pray. Amen."
