A Blessing for Those Who Walk with the Lord

Blessed are you, whose steps are sure,

Whose heart and purpose are secure.

Not in the path the world has trod,

But in the way walked by your God.

Blessed are you— for you walk not alone,

The Lord Himself claims you as His own.

“I will walk among you and be your God,

and you will be my people.”(Leviticus 26:12)

Blessed are you— your way is lit,

No step you take will be unfit.

For though you cannot see the end,

On Him,your Guide, you can depend.

“Your word is a lamp for my feet,

a light on my path.”(Psalm 119:105)

Blessed are you— when the way is steep,

His promise He will surely keep.

Your strength will be renewed to soar,

On eagle's wings,forevermore.

“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.”(Isaiah 40:31)

Blessed are you— in the valley low,

Where shadows of the evening grow.

His rod and staff,they comfort bring,

You'll fear no evil,while He is King.

“Even though I walk through the darkest valley,

I will fear no evil, for you are with me.”(Psalm 23:4)

Blessed are you— your life will yield,

A harvest in a fertile field.

Planted by streams of living grace,

You'll bear good fruit in every place.

“That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,

which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—”(Psalm 1:3)

Blessed are you— with peace that lasts,

That holds you firm when storms are fast.

A peace the world can never make,

A peace that only Christ can give and never take.

“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast,

because they trust in you.”(Isaiah 26:3)

Blessed are you— for at journey's end,

A welcome voice,a faithful Friend.

Will say,"Well done," and you'll behold,

A story of great grace untold.

“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant!...

Come and share your master’s happiness!’”(Matthew 25:21)

So walk on, beloved, walk in His light,

Through day's clear joy and night's deep fight.

The path of righteousness and peace,

Where His blessings never cease.

The Lord bless you and keep you on your walk;

the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you;

the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.(Numbers 6:24-26)
