Good Tidings in Our Life
The world brings news of fear and dread,
Of broken hearts,and hopes that fled.
It shouts of conflict,loss, and strife,
The weary,constant news of life.
But over this, a different sound,
On hallowed,humble, grace-touched ground,
A herald speaks with joyful voice,
And makes the heaviest heart rejoice.
“Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.” (Luke 2:10)
These are the good tidings, strong and true,
For me,for her, for you.
It is the news that God has come near,
To wipe away our every fear.
The good tidings are that we are known,
We are not left to walk alone.
Our sins are pardoned,cast away,

Our present and eternity.
