The wealth of the unrighteous will be given to the righteous.

Amen. This statement reflects a biblical principle that God, in His sovereignty, can transfer resources from the wicked to the righteous to fulfill His purposes and promises. It speaks to God's ultimate control over all wealth and His commitment to provide for His people.

This concept is found in the Book of Proverbs:

"A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children, but the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous." - Proverbs 13:22 (NKJV)

We also see this principle play out historically when the Israelites left Egypt:

"And the LORD had given the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they let them have what they asked. Thus they plundered the Egyptians." - Exodus 12:36 (ESV)

Understanding This Promise Correctly

It is crucial to understand this promise with the right heart and perspective:

1. It's About Stewardship, Not Entitlement: This is not a promise for believers to claim personal, lavish wealth. The focus is on God's ability to fund His kingdom work and provide for the needs of His people. The "righteous" are those who will use the resources for God's glory and the good of others, not for selfish indulgence.

2. It's a Sovereign Act of God: This is not something we can manipulate or claim for ourselves through "prosperity gospel" teachings. It is a divine transfer that God orchestrates in His wisdom and timing.

3. The True Wealth is Christ: The ultimate fulfillment for the righteous is not material wealth, but the "unsearchable riches of Christ" (Ephesians 3:8). Our primary focus should always be on spiritual riches.

A Prayer for Righteous Stewardship

Heavenly Father,

You are the owner of all things. Every resource in the world belongs to You. We acknowledge that You are the one who gives the power to get wealth.

We ask for Your wisdom and righteousness. If it is according to Your will, we pray that You would channel resources into the hands of those who will use them to advance Your kingdom, help the poor, and spread the Gospel.

Guard our hearts from greed and the love of money. Help us to be faithful stewards of whatever You entrust to us, whether little or much. Our ultimate trust and treasure is in You, not in earthly wealth.

We submit to Your sovereign plan, knowing that You will provide all our needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

A Poem: "The Transfer of Wealth"

"The Transfer of Wealth"

The wealth of the wicked, stored in vain, For earthly gain, for fleeting pain. They heap it up,they hold it tight, In temporary, fading light.

But God above, who sees it all, Who marks the rise and knows the fall, Can move the mountains of their gold, A story that is often told.

To fund the work of righteous hands, Across the seas, throughout the lands. To feed the poor,to preach the word, Until the voice of God is heard.

So do not fret the wicked's way, Or envy what they have today. For God,who is the owner of all, Will hear His righteous children's call.

But seek ye first the kingdom, friend, On God alone, your heart depend. And all these things will be added too, As He has promised me and you.

For it's not for our selfish, greedy pleasure, But for the Kingdom's boundless measure. The wealth of the unrighteous, you will see, Will serve the Lord's great destiny.

Walk in integrity, faithfulness, and generosity. Trust that God is your provider and that He is well able to move any mountain to meet your needs and fund the work He has called you to.
