A Prayer for Journey Mercy

Heavenly Father, I come before You,

A traveler on a path both old and new.

The road ahead is unknown to me,

But every inch of it,You clearly see.

So I ask not for a map of my own design,

But for one constant,holy sign:

Have journey mercy upon my life.

Let Your mercy go before me to prepare the way,

Let it follow behind me,guarding my back from dismay.

Let it walk beside me as my constant friend,

From this very moment,to my journey's end.

Have mercy on my steps, that I might not stumble.

Have mercy on my heart,keep it humble.

When the path leads through a valley,dark and deep,

Be the promise of dawn my soul will keep.

When the road is steep and my strength is small,

Let Your mercy lift me,lest I fall.

Surely your goodness and mercy will follow me

Have mercy in my encounters. In every soul I meet,

Bring me safely to the place You've ordained,

Whether it brings sunshine or rain.

And at the final end of all my days,

Guide me through death's mysterious haze,

Into the eternal home prepared for me,

Where I'll dwell in Your mercy,finally free.

Have journey mercy upon my life.

From this day forward,until I see Your face,

Sustain me,Lord, by Your marvelous grace.
