Holy Spirit leads us.

 Holy Spirit, Lead Us

A Reflection on Romans 8:14, John 16:13, and Psalm 143:10

Holy Spirit, lead us—not by a map we hold,

But by the still, small voice that never grows old.

Lead us through the crossroads, through the valleys and the hills,

Through the rush of crowded highways and the quiet that instills

The wisdom that we need for every step, every choice.

Holy Spirit, lead us—let us hear Your voice.

“But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth.” (John 16:13)

Lead us in our decisions—when the way is not yet clear,

When the options pull us sideways, when we waiver and we fear.

Give us discernment, not our own, but Yours from up above.

Lead us, Holy Spirit, with the tenderness of love.

Lead us in our relationships—in speaking and in silence,

In boundaries and in openness, in conflict and in alliance.

Let Your fruit of patience, kindness, self‑control, and grace

Be the compass of our conduct in every time and place.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. (Romans 8:14)

Lead us when we study Scripture, when we bend our hearts to pray.

Illumine every passage, turn our darkness into day.

Teach us, Holy Spirit, for we need a Teacher true,

To remind us of the words of Jesus, to make all things new.

Lead us even when we wander, when we take a wrong turn.

Gently pull us back, refine us, let us from our folly learn.

You are not a tyrant driving, but a Friend who walks alongside.

Holy Spirit, lead us—in You we will confide.

Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God; may Your good Spirit lead me on level ground. (Psalm 143:10)

Lead us in our worship—let it not be stale or cold.

Lead us in our witness—make us fearless, make us bold.

Lead us in our families, into our homes, our work, our rest.

Let Your Spirit's presence settle, ever pure and ever blessed.

So we surrender our own compass, our own well-intentioned schemes.

We trust Your leading, Holy Spirit, more than our own dreams.

Lead us—today, tomorrow, through the sun and through the rain.

We will follow, and in following, we have nothing to fear or gain

But You Yourself, our Guide, our Comforter, our Flame.

Holy Spirit, lead us. Amen.
