Lord, protect me from evil.

Amen. "Protect me from evil" is a prayer of dependence and trust—a cry to the One who is our deliverer, our shield, and our refuge from every work of darkness. It is the prayer that Jesus Himself taught us to pray, and it is the plea of a heart that knows its vulnerability and trusts in God's protection.

📖 The Scriptural Foundation

"And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one." (Matthew 6:13)

"The Lord will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore." (Psalm 121:7-8)

"But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one." (2 Thessalonians 3:3)

"The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them." (Psalm 34:7)

"For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways." (Psalm 91:11)

"The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1)

🛡️ What It Means to Be Protected from Evil

God's Protection Means... Because... A Scripture to Hold

He Delivers Us He rescues us from the snares of the enemy. "Deliver us from the evil one." (Matthew 6:13)

He Watches Over Us He never slumbers or sleeps; He is always guarding us. "He who watches over you will not slumber." (Psalm 121:3)

He Covers Us We are hidden in the shadow of His wings. "He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge." (Psalm 91:4)

He Sends Angels His angels are assigned to guard us in all our ways. "He will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways." (Psalm 91:11)

He Strengthens Us He gives us power to stand against the enemy. "The Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you." (2 Thessalonians 3:3)

🙏 A Prayer for Protection

Father,

I come before You and ask:

Protect me from evil.

Deliver me from the snares of the enemy.

Guard me from the temptations of the world.

Keep me from the lies of the evil one.

I trust in Your protection.

I rest in Your presence.

I hope in Your deliverance.

You are my refuge and my fortress.

You are my shield and my defender.

"Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one." (Matthew 6:13)

In Jesus' name,

Amen.

🕊️ A Declaration of Protection

I declare today:

The Lord protects me from evil.

He is my refuge and my strength.

No weapon formed against me shall prosper.

The enemy cannot overcome me.

I am hidden in Christ.

I am covered by His blood.

I am guarded by His angels.

I will not fear.

I will not be shaken.

I will not be defeated.

"The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1)

💎 A Final Encouragement

The enemy is real, but God is greater. He is faithful to protect you, to deliver you, and to keep you safe from the evil one. You do not have to live in fear—you are protected by the power of the Almighty. Trust in Him. Rest in His care. And know that He who watches over you never slumbers or sleeps.

"The Lord will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore." (Psalm 121:7-8)

Protect me from evil, Lord. I trust in You. 🙏🛡️💙
