Bless us with Bread of Life.

Bless Us with the Bread of Life

A Reflection on John 6:35, 48-51

Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life; whoever comes to Me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in Me shall never thirst." (John 6:35)

Bless us with the Bread of Life—not the bread that perishes,

Not the food that satisfies for a moment and then vanishes.

But the Bread that came down from heaven,

The Bread that gives life to the world, the Bread that is given.

The Bread of Life—Jesus, the Word made flesh,

The One who satisfies the deepest hunger, who quenches the endless thirst.

He is the manna in the wilderness, the provision for the journey,

The sustenance for the soul, the hope for the weary.

Bless us—not just with physical bread,

But with the spiritual food that fills us instead.

Feed us with Your Word, nourish us with Your grace,

Satisfy us with Your presence, in every time and place.

"I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever." (John 6:51)

The Bread of Life—broken for us,

The body of Christ, given for us.

When we partake, we remember His sacrifice,

We receive His life, we are made whole and wise.

Bless us with the Bread of Life—

In our hunger, feed us.

In our weakness, strengthen us.

In our doubt, assure us.

In our weariness, renew us.

Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. (Matthew 4:4)

We hunger for more than food—

We hunger for meaning, for purpose, for truth.

We hunger for love, for hope, for peace.

Only the Bread of Life can satisfy these needs.

Bless us—not just for ourselves,

But that we may be bread for others.

That we may share Your love, Your grace, Your truth,

And be a reflection of the Bread of Life to the world.

So we come to You, Lord Jesus—

The Bread of Life, the living Word.

Fill us, feed us, satisfy us,

And make us a blessing to others.

Bless us with the Bread of Life.

And we will be satisfied forever.

Amen.
