Bless our Steps.

 Bless Our Steps

A Reflection on Psalm 119:105, Proverbs 16:9, and Psalm 37:23

Bless our steps, O Lord—the path before our feet,

The winding ways, the straight and narrow street.

Let not our steps be guided by our own small light,

But by the radiance of Your presence, day and night.

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. (Psalm 119:105)

Bless the path of morning, when the day is fresh and new.

Let each decision honor You, each word and deed be true.

Bless the path of noontide, when the sun is high and hot.

Let us not grow weary, nor forget the One who bought

Our souls with precious blood, our future with His grace.

Bless the path of evening, when the shadows start to fall.

Let us rest in the assurance that You have seen it all.

The twists and turns, the unexpected bends,

Are all within Your sovereign plan that never, ever ends.

A person’s steps are directed by the Lord; how then can anyone understand their own way? (Proverbs 16:9)

Bless the path of sorrow, when the road is steep and rough.

Let us find that Your grace is sufficient, Your presence enough.

Bless the path of joy, when the meadows bloom so fair.

Let our hearts give thanks, and let us know You're there.

For every path is holy when walked with You, our Guide.

No valley is too dark, no mountain too high to climb,

Because You go before us, and You stay close by our side.

Bless our steps, O Lord—for every step, redeem the time.

The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in Him. (Psalm 37:23)

So we trust You with our footsteps—the ones we take, the ones we don't,

The ones we plan, the ones we won't.

Bless our steps, Lord, in Your way,

And guide us safely home, we pray.

Amen.
