You are the rock of our faith.

Amen. That is a powerful declaration of truth. To call God our Rock is to declare His unchanging nature, His strength, His permanence, and the absolute security we have in Him. It is a foundation that cannot be shaken.

Here is a poem on that steadfast truth.

---

The Unshaken Ground

When shifting sands of doubt appear, And everything I hold is fear, When feelings lie and truths seem vague, And all my weary steps must lag…

I plant my feet on solid stone, A foundation I have always known. Not an idea,a hope, a whim, But sure, strong, grounded deep in Him.

You are the Rock of our faith.

You are the bed-rock, sure and deep, On which eternal promises keep. You are the cliff, our strong defense, Our sure and mighty recompense.

Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. (Psalm 62:6)

When storms of life around me roar, And waves beat hard upon the shore, When winds of change try to prevail, Your constant strength will never fail.

You do not move. You do not shift. You are the everlasting gift. In every age,You are the same, The great I AM,the powerful name.

Our faith is not in faith itself, Not in our wealth or mental health. It is not in a circumstance, It’s in the steady, sure, firm glance…

…We turn to You, the Cornerstone, The One who can and will atone. The first and last, the end, beginning, The solid rock on which we’re winning.

So let my life be built on You, In everything I say and do. Let every other ground be sod, But this:You are the Rock of our God.

He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he. (Deuteronomy 32:4)
