Obediance better than sacrifice

A Prayer of Obedience

Heavenly Father,

Forgive me for the times I have offered You my religious activities, my busyness, or my own ideas of sacrifice while withholding my simple obedience. I have sometimes preferred the appearance of devotion over the reality of surrender.

Search my heart and show me any area where I am not obeying Your clear Word. Give me the courage and humility to say "yes" to You before I do anything else. I want a heart that listens and obeys more than I want to offer a sacrifice that costs me little.
