May sorrow depart from me.

Amen. "May sorrow depart from my life."

This is a cry from the depths of your heart, and it is a prayer that God hears with deep compassion. Sorrow is a heavy burden—it weighs down the soul, drains the spirit, and clouds the mind. But the good news of the Gospel is that God does not intend for you to live under a cloud of sorrow forever. He is the God who turns mourning into dancing, and He promises that joy comes in the morning.

"Weeping may endure for a night, but a shout of joy comes in the morning." — Psalm 30:5 (AMP)

The Scripture That Promises Sorrow Will Depart:

Isaiah 35:10 (AMP) — "And the ransomed of the Lord will return And come with joyful shouting to Zion, With everlasting joy upon their heads. They will find gladness and joy, And sorrow and sighing will flee away."

Jeremiah 31:13 (AMP) — "Then the virgin will rejoice in the dance, And the young men and old, together, For I will turn their mourning into joy And will comfort them and make them rejoice after their sorrow."

Revelation 21:4 (AMP) — "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be death; there will no longer be sorrow and anguish, or crying, or pain; for the former order of things has passed away."

Psalm 126:5-6 (AMP) — "Those who sow in tears shall reap with joyful shouting. He who goes to and fro weeping, carrying his bag of seed, Shall indeed come again with a shout of joy, bringing his sheaves with him."

John 16:20 (AMP) — "I assure you and most solemnly say to you, that you will weep and grieve, but the world will rejoice; you will grieve, but your grief will be turned into joy."

What It Means for Sorrow to Depart:

· It means God is in the business of turning things around. He doesn't leave you in the valley forever. He brings you out and sets your feet on a rock.

· It means your tears are seeds. When you sow in tears, you will reap with shouts of joy. Your sorrow is not wasted; it is producing a harvest of joy.

· It means joy is coming. The night may be dark, but the morning is guaranteed. The sorrow may last for a season, but it will not last forever.

· It means Jesus has overcome. He told us that in this world we would have tribulation, but to take courage because He has overcome the world (John 16:33). Because He lives, we can face tomorrow without being crushed by sorrow.

A Prayer for Sorrow to Depart:

"Father,

May sorrow depart from my life.

I have carried this weight for too long.

I have shed too many tears.

I have felt the heaviness of grief and the sting of disappointment.

But I am asking You to lift it from me now.

Turn my mourning into dancing.

Turn my sorrow into joy.

Turn my tears into shouts of praise.

Turn my night into morning.

Let Your comfort wash over me.

Let Your peace quiet my heart.

Let Your joy be my strength.

Let Your presence fill every empty place.

I declare that sorrow is not my portion.

Joy is my portion.

I declare that weeping may last for a night, but joy is coming in the morning.

I declare that the ransomed of the Lord will return with joyful shouting, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.

Sorrow, you have no hold on me.

You have no place in my life.

I am a child of the Most High God, and He is turning my sorrow into joy.

Thank You, Lord.

For the joy that is coming.

For the healing that is happening.

For the morning that is breaking.

In Jesus' name,

Amen."

A Blessing Over You:

May the Lord lift the weight of sorrow from your shoulders. May He wipe away every tear from your eyes. May He turn your mourning into dancing and your sorrow into joy. May He fill you with the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. And may you know—deep in your soul—that the night is passing, the morning is coming, and the joy of the Lord will be your strength.

"May sorrow depart from my life."

He hears you.

He is turning it around.

Joy is on the way.

Receive it, and let sorrow flee.

Amen.
