Amen. "Make me a holy vessel."
This is a prayer of profound surrender and deep desire. A vessel is simply a container—it has no voice of its own, no agenda of its own, and no glory of its own. Its only purpose is to be filled by the master and poured out for his use. To ask God to make you a holy vessel is to ask Him to empty you of yourself, cleanse you from all impurity, and fill you with His Spirit so that you can carry His presence and pour out His love to a broken world.
"But we have this precious treasure [the good news about salvation] in [unworthy] earthen vessels [of human frailty], so that the grandeur and surpassing greatness of the power will be [shown to be] from God [His sufficiency] and not from ourselves." — 2 Corinthians 4:7 (AMP)

The Scripture That Describes a Holy Vessel:
2 Timothy 2:20-21 (AMP) — "Now in a large house there are not only vessels and objects of gold and silver, but also vessels of wood and of earthenware, some for honorable use and some for dishonorable use. Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things [which are dishonorable—disobedient, sinful], he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified [set apart for a special purpose and], useful to the Master, prepared for every good work."
Isaiah 64:8 (AMP) — "But now, O Lord, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our Potter, And we all are the work of Your hand."
Romans 9:21 (AMP) — "Does the potter not have a right over the clay, to make from the same lump [of clay] one object for honorable use [something beautiful, a useful vessel] and another for common use?"
Acts 9:15 (AMP) — "But the Lord said to him, 'Go, for this man is a chosen instrument of Mine, to bear My name before the Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel.'"

What It Means to Be a Holy Vessel:
· It means you are set apart. A holy vessel is not used for common or worldly purposes. You are consecrated—dedicated exclusively to the Master's use.
· It means you are clean. Before a vessel can be used for a fine meal, it must be washed. You are asking God to cleanse you from sin, bitterness, and anything that would contaminate what He pours into you.
· It means you are empty. A vessel cannot be filled if it is already full of itself. You are asking God to empty you of your pride, your self-will, and your own plans so that He can fill you with His Spirit.
· It means you are useful. God doesn't just want you to be clean; He wants you to be used. He wants to pour out His love, His grace, and His truth through you to others.

A Prayer to Be a Holy Vessel:
"Lord,
Make me a holy vessel.
I am just clay—but You are the Potter.
I submit to Your hands.
Shape me, mold me, and make me into what You want me to be.
Empty me of myself.
Empty me of my pride.
Empty me of my selfishness.
Empty me of my own agenda.
Take away anything in my life that is not pleasing to You.
Wash me clean.
Cleanse me from every sin, every stain, and every impurity.
Make my heart pure.
Make my mind clear.
Make my spirit sensitive to Yours.
Fill me with Your Holy Spirit.
Fill me with Your Word.
Fill me with Your love.
Fill me with Your grace.
Fill me with Your presence.
Then use me, Lord.
Pour me out for Your glory.
Use me to bring hope to the hopeless.
Use me to bring comfort to the hurting.
Use me to bring truth to the lost.
Use me to carry Your presence wherever I go.
I don't want to be a vessel that sits on a shelf and collects dust.
I want to be a vessel that is actively used by the Master.
I want to be sanctified and prepared for every good work.
Make me a holy vessel, Lord.
A vessel of honor.
A vessel of Your love.
A vessel of Your glory.
In Jesus' name,
Amen."
