You are my Light and Salvation.

Amen. "You are my light and my salvation."

This is a direct quote from one of the most triumphant and courageous psalms in the Bible. It is the battle cry of David when he was surrounded by enemies, when his life was in danger, and when everything seemed to be against him. Yet, in the middle of the darkness, he made a stunning declaration: God is my light, God is my salvation, therefore, whom shall I fear?

"The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the refuge and stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?" — Psalm 27:1 (AMP)

The Scripture That Declares This Truth:

Micah 7:8 (AMP) — "Do not rejoice over me, O my enemy. Though I fall I will rise; Though I dwell in darkness, the Lord is a Light for me."

John 8:12 (AMP) — "I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life."

Psalm 18:28 (AMP) — "For You light my lamp; The Lord my God illumines my darkness."

Isaiah 12:2 (AMP) — "Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; For the Lord God is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation."

Psalm 62:1-2 (AMP) — "For God alone my soul waits in silence; From Him comes my salvation. He alone is my rock and my salvation, My defense and my stronghold; I shall not be greatly shaken."

What This Means for You:

· He is your light. When you don't know which way to go, He illuminates the path. When you are surrounded by confusion and darkness, He brings clarity and truth.

· He is your salvation. Not just saving you for eternity, but saving you today—from your fears, your enemies, your despair, and your own failures.

· If He is your light and salvation, you have no reason to fear. Fear loses its power when you realize who is on your side.

· He is your stronghold. A stronghold is a place of safety, a fortress that cannot be breached. When you make God your refuge, you are untouchable by the enemy.

A Prayer of Declaration:

"Lord,

You are my light and my salvation.

When the world is dark, You are my light.

When I am lost, You are my way.

When I am afraid, You are my courage.

When I am weak, You are my strength.

When I am falling, You are the One who catches me.

Whom shall I fear?

Of whom shall I be afraid?

The enemy may roar, but he cannot touch me.

Circumstances may look impossible, but You are the God of possibilities.

People may turn against me, but You will never leave me.

The darkness may surround me, but You are the Light that shines through it.

You are the refuge and stronghold of my life.

I run to You, and I am safe.

I hide in You, and I am protected.

I trust in You, and I am saved.

I will not be afraid.

I will not be shaken.

I will not be defeated.

Because You are my light and my salvation.

In Jesus' name,

Amen."
