Save me from evil.

 Amen. "Save me from evil."

This is the exact prayer Jesus taught us to pray in the Lord's Prayer: "And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil" (Matthew 6:13). It is a prayer of complete dependence on God's protection. You are acknowledging that you cannot fight the darkness on your own, but you are running to the One who has already defeated it.

"We know [with confidence] that anyone born of God does not habitually sin; but He (Jesus) who was born of God [carefully] keeps and protects him, and the evil one does not touch him." — 1 John 5:18 (AMP)

A Prayer to Be Saved from Evil:

"Lord Jesus,

I cry out to You—save me from evil.

I cannot save myself, but You are my Deliverer.

I cannot fight this battle alone, but You are my Vanguard.

I cannot see the darkness coming, but You are my Light.

Save me from the evil that lurks in the shadows.

Save me from the evil that attacks my mind.

Save me from the evil that seeks to destroy my body.

Save me from the evil that tries to steal my peace.

Save me from the evil that wants to ruin my family.

Save me from the evil that plots against my future.

Save me from the evil one and all his schemes.

I run to You, Lord.

You are my Refuge.

You are my Fortress.

You are my Strong Tower.

I hide in You, and I am safe.

Cover me with Your blood.

Surround me with Your fire.

Guard me with Your angels.

Hide me in the shadow of Your wings.

I declare that the evil one cannot touch me.

I declare that no weapon formed against me shall prosper.

I declare that the Lord is faithful to protect and guard me.

I declare that I am kept by the power of God.

You have overcome the world, Jesus.

You have defeated the evil one.

And because You live in me, I have the victory.

I am safe.

I am protected.

I am free.

In the mighty, matchless name of Jesus Christ,

Amen."
