This is a prayer rooted in the deep, comforting promises of Scripture. God has not left you defenseless or alone in this world. He has commanded His heavenly hosts to watch over you, to guard your steps, and to shield you from harm. You are surrounded by an invisible army of angels who serve the Most High God.

· You are surrounded. Even when you cannot see them, the mountain is full of horses and chariots of fire all around you. You are never outnumbered.

· They are sent to serve you. Because you are an heir of salvation, God's angels are assigned to minister to you and to protect you.

"Lord God,

May the angel of God protect me.

Send Your holy angel to walk beside me.

Send Your angel to encamp around me.

I am not alone.

I am guarded.

I am safe.
