Thank You for Guiding Me
A Reflection on Psalm 32:8, Psalm 48:14, and Isaiah 58:11
Thank You for guiding me—through the valleys and the peaks,
Through the silence and the speaking, through the strong and through the weak.
You have led me with Your eye, You have held me by Your hand,
You have brought me to a place where I can finally stand.
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My loving eye on you. (Psalm 32:8)
Thank You for guiding me—when the path was dark and long,
When I could not hear the morning song.
You were the lamp unto my feet,
The light that made my way complete.
Thank You for guiding me—through every twist and turn,
Through every lesson I had to learn.
When I stumbled, You caught my fall,
When I wandered, You heard my call.
For this God is our God for ever and ever; He will be our guide even to the end. (Psalm 48:14)
Thank You for guiding me—not with a heavy hand,
But with a gentle, loving plan.
You went before me, You walked beside,
You were my shelter, my strength, my guide.
Thank You for guiding me—in the big and in the small,
Through every rise and every fall.
You ordered my steps, You directed my way,
And gave me hope for each new day.
The Lord will guide you always; He will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. (Isaiah 58:11)
Thank You for guiding me—today and all my days.
You are the One who deserves all praise.
For every step, for every turn,
For every lesson I had to learn.
I lift my hands in gratitude, I bow my heart in praise.
Thank You for guiding me through all my wandering ways.
Amen.
