Bless us with wisdom.

 Bless Us with Wisdom

A Reflection on Proverbs 2:6, James 1:5, and Proverbs 3:13

Bless us with wisdom, Lord—not the wisdom of the world,

But the wisdom that comes from above, in Your truth unfurled.

The wisdom that fears Your holy name,

That leads us to righteousness, not to shame.

For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding. (Proverbs 2:6)

Wisdom—not just knowledge or a clever mind,

But the ability to see Your hand, Your heart, Your divine design.

It is the fear of the Lord, the beginning of all truth,

The compass that guides us through the paths of our youth.

Bless us with wisdom—in our words and in our ways,

In our decisions, in our prayers, in all our days.

Let us not lean on our own understanding,

But trust in Your leading, ever-standing.

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. (James 1:5)

Wisdom—to discern between good and evil,

To walk in the light and avoid the devil.

To speak with grace, to act with love,

To be humble before the God above.

Bless us with wisdom—to lead our families well,

To be a light in the darkness, to break every spell

Of confusion and doubt, of fear and despair,

And to know that Your wisdom is always there.

Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding. (Proverbs 3:13)

So we ask, O Lord, for this precious gift,

That our spirits and souls Your wisdom may lift.

Bless us with wisdom—for today and all our days,

And let our lives be filled with Your wisdom and praise.

Amen.
