Forever Rely on God
A Reflection on Proverbs 3:5-6, Psalm 56:3-4, and Isaiah 26:4
Forever rely on God—not just in times of need,
But in every moment, every breath, every thought, every deed.
He is the Rock that never shakes, the Anchor that holds fast,
The One whose love will never fade, whose promises will last.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
Rely on Him in the morning, when the day is fresh and new,
When the sun begins to rise and the world comes into view.
Rely on Him at noontide, when the battle presses hard,
When the enemy whispers and the way seems marred.
Rely on Him in the evening, when the shadows start to fall,
When the day is done and you have given your all.
Rely on Him in the night, when sleep eludes your eyes,
When the silence is heavy and your spirit cries.
When I am afraid, I put my trust in You. In God, whose word I praise—in God I trust and am not afraid. (Psalm 56:3-4)
Forever rely on God—not a one-time choice,
But a daily surrender, a listening for His voice.
He will never fail you, He will never let you go,
He is the God who knows your name, who loves you more than you know.
So trust Him with your future, trust Him with your past,
Trust Him with the present, with the things that will not last.
He is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End,
The One who holds you in His hand, your Savior and your Friend.
Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock. (Isaiah 26:4)
Forever rely on God—let this be your song,
Through every trial, through every wrong.
For He is faithful, He is true,
And He will see you through.
Amen.
