Save my Soul, Lord.

 Save My Soul, Lord

A Cry from Psalm 69:1-2, Romans 10:9-10, and John 3:16

Save my soul, Lord—the waters rise to my neck,

The flood of trouble, the shipwreck, the wreck

Of all my plans, my hopes, my strength.

I sink in deep mire; I cannot go to any length

To rescue myself from this miry clay.

Save my soul, Lord—I have no other way.

Save me, O God, for the waters have come up to my neck. I sink in the miry depths, where there is no foothold. (Psalm 69:1-2)

Save my soul—not my body only, not my mind,

But the eternal part of me, the part that is designed

To know You, to love You, to be with You forever.

Save me from the judgment, from the final sever.

I have sinned and fallen short of Your glory and Your grace,

But I have heard of Your mercy, and I seek Your face.

I turn from my sin, I turn from my pride,

And I ask You, Lord Jesus, to be my Guide.

If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)

Save my soul, Lord—not by my works, but by Your blood,

By the sacrifice of Calvary, by the crimson flood.

I trust in Your finished work, in Your victory over death,

I believe in Your resurrection, in Your life-giving breath.

I call on Your name—Jesus, my Savior, my King.

Thank You for the cross, for the empty grave, for everything.

Save my soul, Lord—not just for eternity,

But for this moment, this breath, this life You have given to me.

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)

So I receive Your salvation—not as a wage, but as a gift.

My broken soul You gently lift.

Save my soul, Lord—I am Yours, I am free,

And I will praise You for all eternity.

Amen. I am Yours.

Your Grace is all I need.

Your Grace Is All I Need

A Reflection on 2 Corinthians 12:9, Ephesians 2:8-9, and Hebrews 4:16

Your grace is all I need—not my strength, not my might,

Not my wisdom, not my insight.

In my weakness, You are strong,

In my failure, You prolong

Your mercy, Your love, Your endless care,

Your grace is sufficient, always there.

“My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)

Grace—the gift I did not earn,

The favor I could never return.

It does not depend on my performance or my worth,

But flows from the heart of the One who gave me birth.

Your grace is all I need—in the morning when I rise,

In the silence before the day's demands and cries.

In the noontide, when the battle presses hard,

Your grace is my shield, my guard.

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

Grace—not a license to sin, but a power to live,

A strength to forgive, a love to give.

It covers my failures, it heals my shame,

It calls me by a new name.

Your grace is all I need—in the valley and the peak,

In the silence and the suffering, in the victory and the weak.

When I am empty, You fill me up,

When I am broken, You lift me up.

Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. (Hebrews 4:16)

So I receive Your grace—not as a wage I've earned,

But as a gift of love, a lesson I have learned.

Your grace is all I need—today, tomorrow, always,

And I will rest in Your grace for all my days.

Not my righteousness, but Yours,

Not my strength, but Yours,

Not my glory, but Yours.

Your grace is all I need.

Amen.

Lord, have mercy upon me.

 Lord, Have Mercy Upon Me

A Cry from Psalm 51:1, Luke 18:13, and Psalm 86:5

Lord, have mercy upon me—not because I am worthy of Your grace,

But because Your mercy is boundless, and I need to see Your face.

I come not with a list of merits, not with a single boast.

I come as one who knows that I have wandered from the coast.

Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your unfailing love; according to Your great compassion, blot out my transgressions. (Psalm 51:1)

Like the tax collector who would not lift his eyes,

I beat my chest and whisper, "Lord, be merciful to me."

I cannot stand upon my own; my righteousness is frail.

But Your mercy, Lord, has never, ever failed.

Have mercy—not for pardon only, but for strength to rise,

To leave the miry pit behind, to see the morning skies.

Your mercy is my daily bread, my shelter in the storm,

The gentle hand that holds me close, the heart that keeps me warm.

For You, Lord, are good and ready to forgive, and abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You. (Psalm 86:5)

Lord, have mercy upon me—in my weakness and my need,

In my wandering and my wandering, in my failure and my greed.

You are the God who does not turn away from the broken and the bruised,

You are the God who welcomes sinners who are used.

The tax collector went home justified—not because he was good,

But because he threw himself on the mercy of the God who understood.

His prayer was simple, his heart was bare,

And he found grace beyond compare.

"God, have mercy on me, a sinner." (Luke 18:13)

So I call upon Your name—Jesus, mercy's throne.

You looked upon the sinner and did not leave me alone.

You died to make atonement, You rose to bring me life.

Have mercy upon me, Lord; turn my sorrow into life.

Have mercy—not in judgment, but in love,

Not in wrath, but in the peace that comes from above.

Lord, have mercy upon me—I cry out in my need,

And I trust in Your mercy to plant the eternal seed.

Amen.

May your Mercy fall upon me.

May Your Mercy Fall Upon Me

A Prayer from Psalm 51:1, Lamentations 3:22-23, and Micah 7:18-19

May Your mercy fall upon me—like the morning dew,

Fresh and new and covering, in all I say and do.

Not by my deserving, not by works I bring,

But by Your lovingkindness, by the grace of the King.

Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your unfailing love; according to Your great compassion, blot out my transgressions. (Psalm 51:1)

May Your mercy fall upon me—a river from above,

A healing stream of kindness, a testament of love.

Wash away my failures, cleanse me from within,

And let Your mercy be the place where new life can begin.

Mercy—not getting what I deserve,

A pardon that my striving could never, ever serve.

It meets me in my weakness, it greets me at my fall,

And lifts me from the mud and mire, restoring my all.

Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:22-23)

May Your mercy fall upon me—in the silence of the night,

When I cannot see the way, when I have lost my sight.

Let it cover my regrets, let it heal my hidden shame,

And let me rise to walk again in the freedom of Your name.

May Your mercy fall upon my family, upon my home,

Upon the broken, the weary, the ones who roam.

Let Your compassion reach the farthest, the forgotten, the lost,

And let Your mercy be the banner, no matter what the cost.

Who is a God like You, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of His inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy. (Micah 7:18)

So I receive Your mercy—not as a wage I've earned,

But as a gift of grace, a lesson I have learned.

May Your mercy fall upon me—today, tomorrow, always,

And let my life be a reflection of Your merciful, loving ways.

Amen.

Your Love is All I need.

Your Love Is All I Need

A Reflection on Psalm 23:1, Romans 8:38-39, and Jeremiah 31:3

Your love is all I need—not the treasures of the earth,

Not the fame, not the fortune, not the titles of new birth.

For these are fading shadows, they are like the morning mist,

But Your love is eternal, a love that cannot be dismissed.

“I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.” (Jeremiah 31:3)

Your love is all I need—in the silence and the song,

When I am weak and when I am strong.

In the valley and the peak, in the shadow and the light,

Your love is the anchor that holds me tight.

When the world offers its empty promises and its fleeting gain,

Your love remains the same, the constant in the changing lane.

It pursues me in the valley, it chases me up the hill,

And when I had no strength to run, it carried me, and still

It holds me, keeps me, never leaves me all alone.

Your love has made my heart Your home.

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39)

Your love is all I need—not for comfort only,

But to be a channel of that love to the lonely.

To reflect Your heart, to share Your grace,

To let Your love shine from my face.

No power in all creation, no depth, no height, no fear,

Can make it falter, diminish, or disappear.

It is the final word over every chapter of my story,

My unshakable foundation, my undeserved glory.

So let the world offer its fleeting, glittering prize.

I'll hold with joy the treasure right before my eyes.

For Your love is all I need, no, not a single thing,

Compares to the glorious, living love I have found in Christ my King.

Your love never fails. It never ends.

It is the anchor of my soul, my dearest, closest Friend.

Amen.

Lord, be my Redeemer.

 Lord, Be My Redeemer

A Reflection on Psalm 19:14, Job 19:25, and 1 Peter 1:18-19

Lord, be my Redeemer—the One who buys me back,

Who breaks the chains of sin, who fills my every lack.

I cannot free myself, I cannot pay the cost,

Without You, I am lost.

I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end He will stand on the earth. (Job 19:25)

Redeemer—the One who sets the captive free,

Who takes my guilt and shame and nail them to the tree.

You paid the price I could not pay,

You turned my darkness into day.

Be my Redeemer—from the grip of sin and death,

From the enemy's accusing breath.

Redeem my past, redeem my shame,

Redeem the years the locusts have claimed.

For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed... but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. (1 Peter 1:18-19)

Be my Redeemer—in the silence and the storm,

In the valley where I am worn.

Redeem my mind, redeem my soul,

Redeem my heart and make me whole.

I do not come with empty hands,

But with a heart that understands

That redemption is not earned, but given,

A gift from the One who is risen.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer. (Psalm 19:14)

So I declare it now: You are my Redeemer.

The One who bought me with His blood,

Who lifted me from the mud.

Lord, be my Redeemer—today and always.

I belong to You, and I will praise You all my days.

Amen.

Presence of God be upon me

Presence of God Be Upon Me

A Reflection on Exodus 33:14, Psalm 16:11, and Revelation 21:3

Presence of God, be upon me—not a fleeting, distant glance,

But the weight of Your glory, the nearness of Your trance.

Not a visitor who comes and goes with morning or with night,

But the constant, holy atmosphere that turns my dark to light.

"My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest." (Exodus 33:14)

Let Your presence rest upon me like a mantle and a flame,

Not for my comfort only, but to glorify Your name.

When I rise, be my first thought; when I sleep, my last defense.

In every ordinary hour, be my holy reverence.

For in Your presence there is fullness—fullness of joy and peace,

Fullness of healing for the broken, fullness of release.

In Your presence, fear grows silent; shame is stripped of power.

In Your presence, even deserts blossom like a flower.

You make known to me the path of life; in Your presence there is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. (Psalm 16:11)

Presence of God, be upon me in the valley and the peak,

In the silence of my weeping, in the words I cannot speak.

Be the fire by night to guide me, be the cloud by day to shade.

Let no step I take be lonely, let no prayer I pray be vain.

I open every door of my being—my mind, my heart, my will.

Come, Holy Spirit, settle here; these rooms with Your presence fill.

Let me live and move and have my being in Your constant, near embrace,

Until I see You face to face in that eternal place.

"I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you." (John 14:18)

Presence of God, be upon me.

Now and always.

Amen.

Clean us from all untighteousness.

 Clean Us from All Unrighteousness

A Reflection on 1 John 1:9, Psalm 51:7, and Ezekiel 36:25

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)

Clean us from all unrighteousness—not a surface, shallow clean,

But a deep, interior washing, a making whole and pristine.

The stain of scarlet, the crimson thread that clings,

Wash it in the fountain that from Calvary springs.

Unrighteousness—the twisted bent, the crooked way we choose,

The stubborn heart that will not bend, the grace we often lose.

Uproot the patterns, break the generational chain.

Let Your mercy fall like healing, liberating rain.

We bring our sins to You—the known, the secret, the great,

The failures of the morning, the regrets of the late.

Not to earn forgiveness, but to receive the gift,

To let the cross's mercy give our weary spirits lift.

Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. (Psalm 51:7)

Cleanse us—from the inside out, from the depths of the soul,

From every hidden wound, from every lie that takes its toll.

Let the blood of Jesus wash away the guilt and shame,

And let us rise to walk in the freedom of Your name.

Cleanse us from all unrighteousness—not just the outward stain,

But the inward rot, the secret pain.

Let Your Spirit purify our thoughts, our words, our deeds,

And let Your righteousness take root and plant its seeds.

I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. (Ezekiel 36:25)

So we receive Your cleansing—not by our works, but by Your grace.

We open our hearts to Your purifying embrace.

Cleanse us from all unrighteousness, make us white as snow,

And let Your holiness in us forever grow.

We are forgiven. We are cleansed. We are made whole.

The blood of Jesus has restored our soul.

Amen.

I confess my sin.

 I Confess My Sin

A Reflection on 1 John 1:9, Psalm 51:1-2, and Proverbs 28:13

I confess my sin—not hiding, not excusing,

Not dressing it in softer names or subtly refusing

To own the weight of what I've done, the damage I have caused,

The silent ways I've wandered, the lines I've overstepped and crossed.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)

I confess my sin—the secret and the seen,

The sins I've long forgotten, the guilt that still remains,

The patterns I've repeated, the unconfessed stains.

The words I spoke in anger, the thoughts that went astray,

The things I should have done but left undone, the battles lost, the races not yet run.

I come to You with open hands, with nothing left to hide,

I lay my sin before Your throne, I trust in Your love to abide.

I do not hide my falling short; I bring it to the cross,

My only hope, my only plea, the blood that covers loss.

Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. (Psalm 51:2)

I confess my sin—not to earn forgiveness,

But because You already paid the price, full and limitless.

The cross stands as the proof: while I was still a sinner,

Christ died for me, the feast before the dinner.

I trust Your promise: if I confess, You are faithful and just

To forgive my sins and cleanse me from all unrighteousness.

No longer hiding, no longer ashamed,

I am forgiven, restored, and claimed.

Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy. (Proverbs 28:13)

So I confess my sin—and I receive Your grace.

My broken heart You gently lift.

I am forgiven, I am cleansed, I am made whole.

Your mercy has restored my soul.

I confess my sin—and I am free.

In Your love, I am eternally.

Amen.

Bless the work of my hand.

Bless the Work of My Hands

A Reflection on Deuteronomy 28:12, Proverbs 16:3, and Colossians 3:23

Bless the work of my hands, O Lord—not for my glory, but for Yours,

Let every effort, every task, open heaven's doors.

May the labor of my hands be fruitful and true,

And may every work I do bring honor to You.

Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans. (Proverbs 16:3)

Bless the work of my hands—in the morning when I rise,

In the labor of the noontide, in the evening's calm surprise.

Let my hands be instruments of Your love and grace,

Let them build, heal, and serve in every time and place.

Bless the work of my hands—when the task is small,

When no one sees and no one knows, when I give my all.

Let my labor be an offering, a sweet and holy scent,

A testimony of Your love, a life that is well spent.

Bless the work of my hands—in times of plenty and of need,

In the harvest and the waiting, in the planting of the seed.

Let my hands be generous, let them give and share,

And let them always be a reflection of Your care.

The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of His bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. (Deuteronomy 28:12)

Bless the work of my hands—in the art I create,

In the words I write, in the plans I make.

Let my hands be steady, let them be strong and sure,

And let them always be a channel of Your cure.

Bless the work of my hands—in the care I give,

In the love I show, in the life I live.

Let my hands be gentle, let them heal and bless,

And let them always be a reflection of Your tenderness.

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters. (Colossians 3:23)

So I place my work before You, my efforts and my art.

Bless the work of my hands, Lord—and bless my humble part.

Not for my wealth alone, but for Your kingdom's increase—

Bless the work of my hands, and let it flow with peace.

Amen.

Protect me from the work of the devil.

Protect Me from the Work of the Devil

A Reflection on Ephesians 6:11, James 4:7, and 1 Peter 5:8-9

Protect me from the work of the devil—his schemes, his lies, his snares,

The whispered doubts, the hidden traps, the sudden, fierce despairs.

He prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour,

But I take refuge in the shadow of Your sovereign power.

Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. (Ephesians 6:11)

He comes as an angel of light, disguising darkness as truth.

He twists the promises of God and preys upon my youth.

He sows division, fear, and shame, and whispers I am lost.

But greater is the One in me who bore sin's every cost.

Protect me from his accusations, the guilt he tries to place,

The memories he dredges up to shame me and deface.

Let the blood of Jesus silence every lying tongue,

And let the truth of Your salvation be my song.

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7)

Your word is my sword, Your truth is my shield,

Your name is the stronghold where I am concealed.

No weapon formed against me shall prosper or stand,

For I am held in the palm of Your hand.

So I plead the blood of Jesus over my mind, my heart, my home.

I declare that in Christ, I am no longer the devil's own.

Protect me from his work, Lord—his arrows and his darts.

And let Your peace, Your presence, Your power guard all my parts.

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith. (1 Peter 5:8-9)

I put on the full armor of God—the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness,

The gospel of peace on my feet, the shield of faith in the midst of this mess.

I take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, Your Word,

And I stand firm in the victory that my Savior has already secured.

Protect me from the work of the devil. I resist him in Your name.

He has no authority over me; I will not be the same.

For the One who is in me is greater than the one in the world,

And in the power of Your Spirit, Your banner is unfurled.

Amen.

Protect me from evil.

 Protect Me from Evil

A Reflection on Matthew 6:13, 2 Thessalonians 3:3, and Psalm 121:7

Protect me from evil—this is my cry,

Lifted to the Father, the One who reigns on high.

Not from the trials that shape my faith,

Not from the challenges that test my ways,

But from the evil one who prowls and seeks

To steal, to kill, to destroy the weak.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. (Matthew 6:13)

Protect me from the lies that whisper in the night,

From the fear that paralyzes, from the loss of light.

From the traps laid hidden along my path,

From the enemy's sudden, venomous wrath.

Cover me, shield me, hide me away

In the shadow of Your wings, I pray.

But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. (2 Thessalonians 3:3)

Protect my mind from every doubting dart,

Protect my heart from bitterness and hurt.

Protect my family, my home, my land,

Protect the work of my hands at Your command.

When the enemy comes like a flood, lift up a standard.

When fear would overwhelm, be my commander.

For You are greater than any power or scheme,

You are the God who turns darkness into a beam.

The Lord will keep you from all harm—He will watch over your life. (Psalm 121:7)

So I rest in Your protection—not in my own might.

I sleep in peace because You guard the night.

Protect me from evil, now and always.

In Jesus' name, I trust, I pray.

Amen.

Don't leads me into temptations.

 Don't Lead Me into Temptation

A Reflection on Matthew 6:13 and 1 Corinthians 10:13

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. (Matthew 6:13)

Don't lead me into temptation—this is my humble plea,

Not that You would test me, but that You would set me free.

I know my heart is weak, my flesh is prone to stray,

I need Your hand to guide me, to keep me in Your way.

Temptation—the whisper that entices, the path that seems so right,

But leads me far from Your presence, from Your holy light.

It promises fulfillment, but leaves me empty and dry,

It offers fleeting pleasure, but ends in a bitter cry.

So I ask You, Lord, to guide me, to keep me from the snare,

To guard my heart and mind, to answer every prayer.

Do not let me wander into the tempter's hand,

But lead me in Your righteousness, and help me to stand.

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. (1 Corinthians 10:13)

When temptation comes, give me strength to flee,

Open my eyes to see the way out that is from Thee.

Help me to remember that You are faithful and true,

And that with every test, You will see me through.

Deliver me from the evil one—from his schemes and his lies,

From the traps he sets before me, from the darkness he supplies.

Let Your Spirit be my guide, Your Word my sword and shield,

And in Your strength, I will not yield.

So I trust in You, O Lord—not in my own will,

But in Your grace that keeps me from all ill.

Lead me not into temptation, but deliver me from all harm,

And hold me safe within the shelter of Your arm.

Amen.

Protect me from Creature of Night.

Protect Me from the Creature of Night

A Reflection on Psalm 91:5-6 and Ephesians 6:12

Protect me from the creature of night—the shadow that stalks in the dark,

The whisper that hisses, the unseen spark

Of terror that crawls where the moonlight fails,

Where the enemy sets his hidden snares and rails.

You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness. (Psalm 91:5-6)

The creature of night—not beast with claw and fang,

But the lying spirit, the accuser's clang,

The nightmare that feeds on a restless mind,

The hopelessness that leaves no light behind.

But You, O Lord, are my shelter, my shield,

My fortress wall where no dark thing can yield.

When the shadows creep and the cold winds moan,

I hide in the shadow of Your throne.

For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. (Psalm 91:11)

I plead the blood of Jesus over my door,

Over my window, over my floor.

No creature of night, no spectral form,

Can breach the peace of the One who calmed the storm.

So I rest in Your covering, safe and still,

Though the night may howl and the enemy kill.

For greater is He who is in me than any fear—

Protect me, Lord—let Your dawn appear.

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. (John 1:5)

Amen.

Power, Love and Sound mind.

Power, Love, and a Sound Mind

A Reflection on 2 Timothy 1:7

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7, NKJV)

Not a spirit of fear—not the trembling, anxious dread,

Not the paralysis of worry spinning webs inside my head.

Not the spirit that whispers, "You are not enough, you will fail,"

Not the dread of tomorrow, the panic, the silent wail.

But of power—the same power that raised Christ from the grave,

The power that breaks the chains and makes the sinner brave.

Not my own strength, but His who lives within,

The power to stand, to speak, to conquer, to begin again.

And of love—not a fragile, conditional, human love,

But the agape, steadfast, unconditional from above.

Love that casts out fear, that covers a multitude of sins,

Love that forgives, that hopes, that perseveres, that never ends.

And of a sound mind—disciplined, clear, and true,

Not tossed by every wind of doctrine, not anxious, not askew.

The mind of Christ, calm in the storm, wise in the choice,

A mind that hears the Shepherd's voice and rejoices and rejoices.

So I reject fear—it has no place in me.

For the Spirit of the living God has set my spirit free.

I embrace power, love, and a sound mind today.

I will not be afraid. I will trust, obey, and pray.

Power—to overcome every obstacle,

Love—to heal every wound,

A sound mind—to discern every truth,

These are the gifts of the Spirit, the fruit of the Son.

So I declare it now: I have not received a spirit of fear,

But of power, love, and a sound mind—to draw near.

I am not a slave to fear, but a child of the King,

And in His power, love, and sound mind, I will always sing.

Amen.

Let my Mustard seed faith grow.

Let My Mustard Seed Faith Grow

A Reflection on Matthew 17:20, Luke 17:6, and 1 Corinthians 1:27

Let my mustard seed faith grow—not in size, but in depth,

Not in show, but in trust that clings to every breath.

For a seed, though small, holds the promise of a tree,

And a faith, though weak, can move mountains by Your decree.

“Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” (Matthew 17:20)

A mustard seed—unimpressive to the eye,

Easily overlooked, easily passed by.

But within it lies a forest, a shelter for the birds,

A testament that small beginnings are not empty words.

So I do not need a giant faith, a hero's mighty creed.

I only need a spark, a whisper, a mustard seed.

For the power is not in the seed, but in the One who gives the increase,

The God who takes the tiny and multiplies it into peace.

He replied, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.” (Luke 17:6)

Let my faith grow—not by striving, not by force,

But by abiding in Your Word, by staying on Your course.

Let it take root in the soil of Your grace,

Let it be watered by Your Spirit, let it grow in every place.

My doubts may tower like mountains, my fears may block the sun.

But even a crumb of trust in You means the battle is already won.

I speak to the mountain, not in my own name, but in Yours.

And the mountain must move—for the King of kings is what it is for.

But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. (1 Corinthians 1:27)

So I will not despise the day of small beginnings.

I will nurture the seed of faith, though my spirit is sometimes thinning.

For the God who began a good work in me will carry it to the end.

Let my mustard seed faith grow—more than enough, my friend.

I believe, Lord. Help my unbelief.

Let my faith grow—from a seed to a tree,

A shelter for others, a place of rest,

A life that is fully and forever blessed.

Amen.

Give me a clean heart.

 Give Me a Clean Heart

A Reflection on Psalm 51:10, Ezekiel 36:26, and 1 John 1:9

Give me a clean heart, O God—not just a surface scrub,

But a deep, interior washing, a purging of the grub

That clings to secret places, that hides in hidden rooms,

Where bitterness and envy weave their silent, bitter looms.

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. (Psalm 51:10)

Clean—not by my own striving, not by my weary toil,

But by the living water that flows from Your own soil.

For no amount of scrubbing can remove the stain of sin;

Only Your blood can wash me, only Your grace within.

Take my heart of stone—so cold, so hard, so dead.

Replace it with a heart of flesh, where Your Spirit can be fed.

Shatter the calcified layers of pride and selfish fear,

And let a tender, trusting heart emerge, sincere.

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. (Ezekiel 36:26)

Give me a clean heart—not for my reputation,

But so that I may see You, and know Your true salvation.

For the pure in heart are blessed; they shall behold Your face.

Let purity become my practice, my dwelling place.

Renew a steadfast spirit—not fickle, not afraid,

But loyal through the testing, through the promise You have made.

Let my inner being mirror the constancy of Your love,

As steady as the stars above, as certain as Your word.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)

Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, and sinners will return.

For a clean heart is a fountain from which living waters churn.

Not to boast, but to bless, not to judge, but to heal—

Give me a clean heart, O God. Let me know what is real.

Amen.

Holy Spirit do not depart from me.

Holy Spirit, Do Not Depart from Me

A Reflection on Psalm 51:11, John 14:16-18, and Nehemiah 9:20

Holy Spirit, do not depart from me—not for a moment, not for a breath,

For without Your presence, I am a ship adrift in the sea of death.

You are the wind in my sails, the fire in my heart,

The Comforter who binds my wounds and sets my broken parts.

Do not cast me from Your presence or take Your Holy Spirit from me. (Psalm 51:11)

Stay with me in the morning, when I rise to face the day.

Stay with me in the silence, when I have no words to say.

Stay with me in the darkness, when I cannot find the light,

And be the lamp unto my feet that guides me through the night.

I need Your whisper, Your nudge, Your gentle lead.

You are the Spirit of truth, the One who meets my deepest need.

Do not leave me to my own devices, my own weak will,

For I am prone to wander, and my heart grows quickly still.

“I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to help you and be with you forever.” (John 14:16)

You gave Your Spirit to lead Your people through the wilderness of old,

A cloud by day, a fire by night, a story yet untold.

So lead me, Holy Spirit, through the desert of my fears.

Do not depart; abide with me through all my passing years.

I confess I have grieved You with my stubbornness and pride.

I have quenched Your holy fire; I have run away and hide.

But Your mercies are new every morning; Your love will not let go.

So I cling to You, O Spirit—never leave me, this I know.

You gave Your good Spirit to instruct them. You did not withhold Your manna from their mouths. (Nehemiah 9:20)

Holy Spirit, do not depart from me—not today, not ever.

Bind my heart to Yours, and let us walk together.

I surrender all my fears, my plans, my secret shame.

Stay, O Holy Spirit. I breathe Your holy name.

Amen.

Let me honour you.

 Let Me Honour You

A Reflection on Psalm 86:12, Psalm 34:1, and 1 Chronicles 16:29

Let me honour You—not with empty words or hollow praise,

But with a life that seeks to glorify You in all my ways.

Let my heart be a sanctuary where Your presence dwells,

Let my lips declare Your goodness, let my life tell the story of Your grace.

I will give thanks to You, Lord my God, with all my heart, and will glorify Your name forever. (Psalm 86:12)

Let me honour You—in the morning when I rise,

In the quiet before the day demands its cries.

Let my first thought be of You, my first breath a prayer,

Let me carry Your presence into every affair.

Let me honour You—in the busyness of the day,

When the world is loud and I am tempted to stray.

Let me pause and remember who You are,

Let me be a reflection of Your character near and far.

Let me honour You—in the stillness of the night,

When the chaos fades and the stars give light.

Let me meditate on Your faithfulness and love,

Let me lift my hands in praise to the heavens above.

I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. (Psalm 34:1)

Let me honour You—in my words, in my deeds,

In my thoughts, in my actions, in my needs.

Let me not seek my own glory, but Yours alone,

Let me make Your name known to every heart, to every home.

Let me honour You—not just with my lips,

But with the way I live, the way I give.

Let my life be a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to You,

A testament to the One who makes all things new.

Give to the Lord the glory due His name; bring an offering and come before Him. Worship the Lord in the splendor of His holiness. (1 Chronicles 16:29)

So I will honour You—in times of joy and times of tears,

In the laughter and the sorrow, through the triumphs and the fears.

For You alone are worthy of all honour and praise,

And I will honour You, Lord, for all of my days.

Let me honour You—with every breath, every step, every choice,

With a grateful heart, a willing voice.

You are my Lord, my God, my King,

And to You, I bring my offering.

I will honour You, Lord. Let it be so.

Amen.

Fear of the Lord.

 The Fear of the Lord

A Reflection on Proverbs 9:10, Proverbs 1:7, and Psalm 111:10

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. (Proverbs 9:10)

The fear of the Lord—not a terror that makes us cower,

But a reverent awe that draws us closer to His power.

It is not the dread of punishment that makes us flee,

But the wonder of His holiness that sets our spirits free.

It is the beginning of wisdom—the starting point of all true knowledge,

The foundation of a life that honors God and walks in His ways.

It is the recognition that He is God and we are not,

The humility that bows before the One who has bought.

The fear of the Lord—a healthy, holy reverence,

A deep respect for His majesty, His justice, His presence.

It is not the fear of a slave, but the awe of a child,

Who stands in wonder at the Father, holy and mild.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. (Proverbs 1:7)

It is a fountain of life, turning us from the snares of death,

A source of peace, of hope, of every good breath.

It leads to righteousness, to humility, to trust,

To a life that is grounded in the One who is just.

The fear of the Lord—not a fear that paralyzes,

But a fear that purifies, that chastens, that realizes

The weight of His glory, the depth of His grace,

The beauty of His holiness, the warmth of His embrace.

So we choose the fear of the Lord—not out of dread,

But out of love for the One who bled.

We reverence His name, we honor His ways,

We walk in His light through all our days.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow His precepts have good understanding. To Him belongs eternal praise. (Psalm 111:10)

Blessed is the one who fears the Lord, who finds great delight in His commands.

Their children will be mighty in the land; their legacy will stand.

For the fear of the Lord is not a burden, but a gift,

A guide, a guard, a holy lift.

So I will fear the Lord—not with trembling in my heart,

But with a reverence that sets me apart.

I will honor Him in all I do,

And in His presence, I will be made new.

The fear of the Lord—the key to wisdom, the path to life,

The doorway to peace, the end of strife.

I will walk in it, I will live in it,

And in His love, I will forever dwell in it.

Amen.
