Lord, Let your will be done.

This is the prayer that moves the heart of God. It is not a prayer of demands—it is a prayer of surrender. It is not "my will be done"—it is "Your will be done."

"He went a little farther and fell face down and prayed, saying, 'My Father, if it is possible [that this cup of suffering may pass from Me], let this cup pass from Me; yet not as I will, but as You will.'" — Matthew 26:39 (AMP)

The Scripture That Invites His Will:

Romans 12:1-2 (AMP) — "Present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed and progressively changed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect."

Proverbs 19:21 (AMP) — "Many plans are in a man’s mind, but it is the Lord’s purpose for him that will stand."

Isaiah 55:9 (AMP) — "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts higher than your thoughts."

What It Means to Pray "Your Will Be Done":

· To release control. You are no longer holding the pen to your story—you are trusting the Author.

· To trust His goodness. Even when it doesn't make sense, you believe He is working for your good.

· To surrender your plans. You lay down your timeline, your preferences, and your understanding.

· To embrace His purpose. You believe that His will is better—not just for His glory, but for your life.

A Prayer of Surrender:

"Lord,

I come to You with an open heart.

I have prayed for many things—

healing, provision, breakthrough, protection.

And You have heard.

But now I come with a different prayer:

Let Your will be done.

Not my plans—but Yours.

Not my understanding—but Yours.

Not my control—but Yours.

You are the Potter. I am the clay.

Shape me. Mold me. Use me.

Break what needs to be broken.

Heal what needs to be healed.

Remove what needs to be removed.

Add what needs to be added.

I do not need to understand everything.

I only need to trust the One who does.

I say with Jesus: 'Not my will—but Yours be done.'

In Your precious name,

Amen."

A Blessing of Surrender:

May the Lord have His way in you. May He shape you, mold you, and use you for His glory. May you find peace not in controlling your life, but in surrendering it to the One who holds all things. And may you know, with unshakable confidence, that His will is better—and He is leading you home.

"Lord, let Your will be done."

He is doing it—even now.

Yield to Him.

Let Him work.

You are safe in His hands.
