I confess my sin. Please forgive my sin, transgressions and inequity.

 This is the most honest and powerful prayer a heart can pray. You are not hiding. You are not excusing. You are not minimizing. You are bringing your sin, your transgressions, and your iniquity before the One who is faithful and just to forgive.

"If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just [true to His own nature and promises], and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness." — 1 John 1:9 (AMP)

You are confessing all of it—the wrong you have done, the lines you have crossed, and the twisted places within you. And God's promise covers all of it.

The Scripture That Seals Your Forgiveness:

Psalm 51:1-2 (AMP) — "Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness; according to the greatness of Your compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my wickedness and guilt and cleanse me from my sin."

Isaiah 1:18 (AMP) — "'Come now, and let us reason together,' says the Lord. 'Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be like wool.'"

Micah 7:18-19 (AMP) — "Who is a God like You, who forgives wickedness and passes over the rebellious acts of the remnant of His possession? A Prayer of Confession:

"Father,

I come to You just as I am—

a sinner in need of mercy.

I do not hide. I do not excuse. I do not minimize.

I confess my sin—

every time I have missed the mark,

every time I have fallen short of Your glory.

I confess my transgressions—

every time I have crossed the line,

every time I have rebelled against Your law,

every time I have chosen my will over Yours.
