Love That Casts Out Fear

Fear has a voice that whispers lies,

It magnifies the threat before my eyes.

It tells me I am all alone,

That I must face the storm alone.

But perfect love speaks louder still,

A voice that bends to do God's will.

It says, "You're Mine, I hold you fast,

This storm, like all the rest, will pass."

Fear looks at circumstances tall,

At all the ways that I could fall.

But love looks at the cross and sees

The victory that has set me free.

Perfect love—not my own,

But love that comes from God's own throne.

A love that drove Him to the grave,

A love with power strong to save.

So when fear knocks upon my door,

I will not hide there on the floor.

I'll open up and let love in,

And fear will flee again.

For perfect love has cast it out,

Replaced my trembling with a shout.

No more a slave to what I dread,

For love has lifted up my head.

Perfect Love Drives Out Fear:

Father of Love,

You have not given me a spirit of fear,

but of power, love, and a sound mind.

Yet fear still knocks at my door.

It magnifies my problems and shrinks my faith.

It tells me I am alone, forgotten, and unprotected.

But Your Word says that perfect love casts out fear.

So I invite Your love

to fill every corner of my heart

where fear has tried to dwell.

I receive Your love today—

not a love I have earned,

but the love You have shown me

in Jesus Christ.

Because You love me,

I have nothing to fear.

Because You are with me,

I am never alone.

Because You are for me,

who can stand against me?

Let Your perfect love

drive out every fear—

fear of failure,

fear of rejection,

fear of the future,

fear of death.

I am loved.

I am safe.

I am Yours.
