Lord Jesus, Leave your peace with me.

 Leave Your Peace with Me

Leave Your peace with me—not as the world gives,

But as only the Prince of Peace can give.

Not a fragile truce, not a temporary cease,

But a deep, abiding calm that helps my soul to live.

Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. (John 14:27)

Leave Your peace with me when the storm winds blow,

When the waves rise high and the undertow

Threatens to pull me beneath the tide—

Let Your peace be the anchor deep inside.

Leave Your peace with me in the sleepless night,

When anxious thoughts take their fear-filled flight.

When my heart races and my mind won't rest,

Let Your peace settle upon my chest.

You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You. (Isaiah 26:3)

Leave Your peace with me in the noise of the day,

When the rush and the clamor pull me away

From the quiet center where You wait to meet,

And lay Your peace at my weary feet.

Leave Your peace with me not for a moment's stay,

But as a companion along the way.

A guard for my heart, a sentry for my mind,

The truest, sweetest rest I'll ever find.

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7)

So I receive it now, this gift so free:

Your peace, Lord Jesus, leave it with me.

In every season, through every test,

Your peace—my refuge, my home, my rest.

Amen.
