Jesus is all I have.

 Jesus Is All I Have

Jesus is all I have—and having Him, I have everything.

When every other treasure fades, when every voice will cease to sing,

When earthly props are pulled away and I am left with only Him,

I find that He is more than enough, my cup overflows to the brim.

Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines... yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior. (Habakkuk 3:17-18)

I have no silver, no gold to my name.

No earthly fortune, no worldly fame.

But I have the One who owns the cattle on a thousand hills,

The One who calms the tempest and the One who heals all ills.

Jesus is all I have—no backup plan, no second choice.

But in His presence, I have found my voice.

When friends depart and doors are shut,

When dreams lie shattered in the rut,

I still have Him who never leaves,

Who binds my wounds and my heart retrieves.

For I am convinced that neither death nor life... nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39)

So let the world take everything—

Its fleeting joys, its glittering ring.

I have a treasure that won't rust,

A hope that rises from the dust.

Jesus is all I have—and He

Is more than all the world to me.

Amen.
