What a wonderful Name is Jesus.

What a Wonderful Name Is Jesus

What a wonderful name is Jesus—the sound that breaks the chains,

The whisper that can calm the storm, the word that stills the pains.

No other name in heaven or earth can do what His name does—

It opens doors, it heals the hurt, it draws the sinner close.

And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among mankind by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)

What a wonderful name—for the weary and the worn,

For the outcast and the broken, for the battered and the torn.

It speaks of hope when hope has fled, of peace when war is waged,

Of life when death has had its say, of love when hate has raged.

Jesus—the name that angels sing around the throne above.

Jesus—the name that makes the enemy tremble, flee, and shove.

Jesus—the name that calls the dead to rise and walk again.

Jesus—the name that washes white the deepest, darkest stain.

Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name. (Philippians 2:9)

So let my lips declare it, let my heart believe it true:

There is no one like You, Jesus, and no name like the name of You.

What a wonderful name—my refuge, my song, my everlasting claim.

Forever I will lift it high: Jesus, wonderful name!

Amen.
