You Are So Faithful
You are so faithful—not just when the skies are clear,
But in the waiting, in the silence, in the midst of every fear.
When I am faithless, You remain.
When I complain, You still sustain.
When I forget the vows I made,
Your faithful love does not degrade.
If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot disown Himself. (2 Timothy 2:13)
So faithful—every promise kept, every word fulfilled.
Not one whisper of Your covenant has ever been stilled.
Through generations, through the ages, through my wandering ways,
Your faithfulness outlasts the sun and marks all of my days.
Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; He is the faithful God, keeping His covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love Him and keep His commandments. (Deuteronomy 7:9)
You are so faithful—in the morning when I rise,
Your mercies new, a fresh supply before my sleepy eyes.
In the evening when I falter, when my strength has ebbed away,
You are the anchor holding me, the dawn of a new day.
So I will sing of Your great faithfulness—not because of my own,
But because You have never, ever left me on my own.
Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father—
There is no shadow of turning with Thee; Thou changest not.
Great is Your faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:23, KJV)
Amen.
