"Lord, straighten my path."
This is a prayer that delights the heart of God. It is the humble cry of a heart that does not want to wander, does not want to be distracted, and does not want to stumble. You are asking the Shepherd to lead you on level ground. And He is faithful to do it.
"Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, and He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way]." — Proverbs 3:5-6 (AMP)

A Prayer to Straighten Your Path:
"Lord,
I come to You with a humble heart.
I do not want to wander.
I do not want to go my own way.
I do not want to be led astray.
Straighten my path.
Make the crooked places straight.
Make the rough places smooth.
Make the dark places light.
Make the confusing places clear.
Remove the obstacles that stand in my way.
Shatter the gates of bronze that block my path.
Cut through the bars of iron that hold me back.
Level the mountains that loom before me.
Fill the valleys of doubt and fear.
Go before me, Lord.
Prepare the way.
Guide my steps.
Order my path.
When I turn to the right or the left,
let me hear Your voice saying,
'This is the way, walk in it.'
I do not want to lean on my own understanding.
I trust You with all my heart.
I acknowledge You in all my ways.
And I believe You will make my path straight.
Straighten my path, Lord—
not for my glory, but for Yours.
Not so I can boast, but so I can walk in Your will.
Not so I can run ahead, but so I can follow You.
I commit my way to You.
I trust You with the journey.
And I will walk in the path You have prepared.
In Jesus' name,
Amen."
