Happy Easter!
He Is Risen Indeed
Happy Easter—not just a greeting for a day,
But a declaration that death has lost its sway.
The tomb is empty, the stone is rolled away,
And darkness cannot keep the Light at bay.
He is not here; He has risen, just as He said! (Matthew 28:6)
This is the day of victory and song,
The day the church has waited for so long.
The cross is empty, and the grave is bare,
And hope now breathes in every whispered prayer.
Happy Easter—for the Lamb has overcome,
The battle for our souls is fully won.
Sin's power broken, death's sting torn away,
We rise with Him to everlasting day.
Death has been swallowed up in victory. Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting? (1 Corinthians 15:54-55)
The sun shines brighter on this morning light,
The birds sing sweeter, for the dark is night.
The women came with spices, but they found
An angel sitting on the rolled-away ground.
Happy Easter—let the whole earth sing,
Let every voice its hallelujah bring.
For Jesus lives, and because He lives,
We too have life—the life that heaven gives.
I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Me will live, even though he dies. (John 11:25)
So let us feast, let us rejoice, let us proclaim:
The King of glory has defeated shame.
The stone is rolled away, the door is open wide,
And in His resurrection, we now hide.
Happy Easter, beloved.
He is risen. He is risen indeed.
And in His rising, we are freed.
Amen. Hallelujah!
