What a Good God we have.

Amen. "What a good God we have" is not just a statement—it is a testimony, a declaration of praise, and the overflow of a heart that has tasted His goodness. It is the recognition that every good and perfect gift comes from Him, and that He is worthy of all our praise.

📖 The Scriptural Foundation

The Bible resounds with the goodness of God:

"Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him." (Psalm 34:8)

"For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations." (Psalm 100:5)

"Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever." (Psalm 118:1)

"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." (James 1:17)

"The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made." (Psalm 145:9)

✨ What It Means That We Have a Good God

His Goodness Means... Because... A Scripture to Hold

He Is Kind His goodness is expressed in mercy, compassion, and patience toward us. "The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love." (Psalm 145:8)

He Provides He supplies our needs and blesses us beyond what we deserve. "Every good and perfect gift is from above." (James 1:17)

He Protects His goodness is our refuge, our shelter, and our defender. "Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him." (Psalm 34:8)

He Restores He heals the brokenhearted, redeems the lost, and restores the weary. "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." (Psalm 147:3)

He Is Faithful His goodness does not waver—it endures through all generations. "His faithfulness continues through all generations." (Psalm 100:5)

🙏 A Prayer of Praise for His Goodness

Father,

You are good.

Not just sometimes—

Always.

Not just in the good times—

Even in the hard times.

Not just when I understand—

Even when I don't.

Your goodness is beyond measure.

Your mercy is new every morning.

Your faithfulness is unshakable.

Your love is everlasting.

Thank You for being good to me.

Thank You for the blessings I see—

And for the blessings I cannot see.

Thank You for the answered prayers—

And for the prayers You have answered in ways I didn't expect.

You have not given me what I deserve—

You have given me grace.

You have not turned away from me—

You have drawn me close.

You have not abandoned me—

You have carried me.

What a good God You are.

There is no one like You.

And I will praise You all my days.

"Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him." (Psalm 34:8)

In Jesus' name,

Amen.

🕊️ A Declaration of His Goodness

I declare today:

My God is good.

He is good in every season.

He is good in every trial.

He is good in every victory.

He is good in every silence.

He is good in every storm.

I will not forget His goodness.

I will not stop praising His name.

I will not stop trusting His heart.

For the Lord is good.

His love endures forever.

His faithfulness never fails.

"The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him." (Lamentations 3:25)

💎 A Final Encouragement

What a good God we have—a God who does not give us what we deserve but lavishes us with grace. A God who does not leave us in our brokenness but heals and restores. A God who does not turn away from our sin but draws us close with unfailing love.

When the world tells you otherwise, remember: God is good. When the trials seem overwhelming, remember: God is good. When the future seems uncertain, remember: God is good. His goodness is not determined by your circumstances—it is determined by His character. And His character never changes.

"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want." (Psalm 23:1)

What a good God we have. And He is ours. 🙏💛
